Being an extraction shooter, players raiding in Marathon will also have a fear of losing their loot when they get downed, especially if there's no team around to revive them. However, the game allows you to self-revive when downed, which makes going into raids solo a lot more viable. The game does not explain how you can self-revive in raids, which is why this guide will be helpful for players who don't want to lose all their gear when caught off-guard by a UESC bot.

How to Self Revive in Marathon

Self Revive Consumable in Marathon

Players can self reivive their Runners during a raid in Marathon by using a consumable that's literally called "Self-Revive." You'll need to have this consumable in your inventory when you go down, otherwise you won't be able to get your character back up and running.

Self Reviving in Marathon

If you have a said consumable in your inventory, you'll see an option to Self-Revive over the Give Up button when you get downed by another player or UESC forces. Self-Reiving process is rather slow, and it'll take you around 10 seconds to get your character back on their feet.

Self-Revive is viable if you get downed by a PvE enemy. However, you're less likely to get yourself back up if you get downed by another player, as they'll just rush in to finish the job.

How to Get Self Revive Kits in Marathon

Unlock Self Revive in NuCal Faction Tree in Marathon

There are two ways you can get your hands on a Self-Revive consumable in Marathon. The first one is by loading into a raid and looting various locations on the map. Your best bet is to look inside larger containers that have a chance to spawn deluxe items. Narrowing down your search for these containers will improve your chances of finding a Self-Revive kit.

The second method is just purchasing Self-Revive kits from the Armory. To do that, you'll first need to complete the Priority Contract called Introducing NuCaloric and unlock the NuCal faction. Do a couple of missions with them to rank up your faction level until you're eventually able to unlock the Self-Revive item in NuCal's skill tree.

Purchase Self Revive Consumable From Armory Marathon

Once you've got the Self-Revive unlocked in the skill tree, head over to the Armor and switch the faction tab to NuCaloric. You'll be able to purchase Self-Revive kits for 500 credits a piece here, and take them out on solo missions to get yourself back up without needing teammates.
