Manor Lords takes you into a highly engaging town construction experience, where you are tasked with developing a flourishing community from scratch, starting with just a few residents. The cornerstone of this formidable endeavor starts by constructing the Manor within your town.

Now that the Manor is built, the next step is fortifying it with defensive structures such as walls, gates, and other key buildings like towers. These constructive tasks can be performed through the Castle Planner located within your Manor. If you still find it hard, here's a guide that answers everything about this feature.

Manor Lords: How to Build Your Second Settlement

Building up one settlement can be a challenging task, but you'll need to learn how to juggle more than one if you want to beat Manor Lords.

How To Use The Castle Planner In Manor Lords

The Castle Planner is crucial for you to plan and strengthen your Manor House and town. It works by providing you with four different modules that you can use to construct important structures like walls and towers to protect your settlement.

To enter the Castle Planner in Manor Lords, you have to first build a Manor House within your town. To construct the Manor, go to the Administration tab in your construction menu, and start building a Manor with the following resources.

  • 5 Timber
  • 20 Planks
  • 15 Stones

Once you have built the Manor, you can now access the Castle Planner by tapping on the Manor and then selecting Open the Castle Planner. In the Castle Planner menu, you will have different modules you can choose to lay out the following structures in your town.

Walls & Gates

You can build Walls and Gates around your town if you are looking to protect it. Each segment of a Wall requires 1 Plank. Moreover, whenever you intersect a road while building a Wall, a Gate will automatically be constructed, costing you 1 Timber.

Outer Towers

The Outer Towers increase your settlement's defenses by offering you extra Garrison space. However, to construct each tower, you will need 10 Timber and 5 Stone and in return, you will get 10 Garrison spaces for your troops.

Garrison Tower

Garrison Tower enhances your town’s defense by increasing the maximum Retinue size by 12. To construct a Garrison Tower, you'll need 10 Timber, 15 Planks, and 10 Stones. In return, you gain the ability to enlist more troops and safeguard your domain against threats like Raiders or Bandit Camps.

Tax Offices

At the time of writing, Tax Offices are just for looks and cost 4 Timber to build. They lack any special functions at the moment. However, there's a possibility that they may play a role in managing your town's taxation more effectively in future updates.
