A few years after establishing your village in Manor Lords, you will soon start being raided by enemies and other rulers. To defend your rule and the people, combat is a must in these cases, and during combat, casualties are unavoidable.
Depending on the difficulty settings you are playing on, you might have to come across the problem of removing dead bodies from your land. Making sure all the dead bodies are buried properly is essential, as leaving dead bodies on open ground can negatively affect your Approval Rating.
Manor Lords: How to Win the Game (Victory Conditions)
While two of Manor Lords' scenarios end when you build a large town, you'll need to accomplish much more if you want to win "Restoring the Peace."
How To Remove Dead Bodies In Manor Lords
In Manor Lords, deceased bodies can be buried in the Wooden Church or the Corpse Pit.
The Church is used to burying your villagers who may have fallen in combat with raiders or enemy forces. Aside from burying the deceased, there are several other reasons why you should build the Wooden Church as soon as possible after starting the game. First, it may considerably boost your Approval Rating, and second, it is required to upgrade your Burgage Plots to level 2.
How To Build A Wooden Church
To construct the Wooden Church, head to the Residential section of the Construction menu. Then, click on Wooden Church and set the church's hologram projection in the spot where you want to create it.
Material costs to build a Wooden Church:
- 5 wood
- 20 planks
- 10 stone
Once you've built the Wooden Church, assign one idle family to it, and they'll begin working as gravediggers if any deceased people are on your land. In such circumstances, those assigned to the Church will begin collecting and transporting the deceased to the Church, where they will be appropriately buried in the Hallowed Ground.
How To Build A Corpse Pit
However, the Raiders and enemy troops will not have a last resting place in the church, so you must construct the Corpse Pit for them. Like the Church, the Corpse Pit may be built via the Construction menu's Residential section.
Building the pit to dispose of enemy bodies is free; you will not need to spend any resources on it.
Once the Corpse Pit has been successfully constructed, assign one family to the facility, and they will begin gathering the dead bodies of raiders or enemy troops that are lying in your area.
After the Church or Corpse Pit workers have gathered and cleaned up all the dead, your Approval Rating should stop declining and be back to normal soon enough.
