The story of Mafia: The Old Country takes players into the shoes of Enzo, a carusu who ran away from the mine. After being discovered by Don Torrisi and being allowed to stay as a worker in his vineyard, Enzo begins his journey in learning the ropes of the family's internal affairs.
In the main campaign, Enzo will have the opportunity to ride a horse or drive a car, but for players who wish to skip the rides and immediately get to their destination, there will be an option to skip rides and fast travel in certain parts of Mafia: The Old Country gameplay.
Which Knife Should You Choose In Mafia: The Old Country?
There are three categories of knives in Mafia: The Old Country; here's an explanation of their special features.
How To Skip Drive And Ride In Mafia The Old Country
Players can skip drive and ride in Mafia: The Old Country by heading to Settings > Gameplay > Enable skip drive and ride. This option allows Enzo to skip non-essential car drives or horse-riding journeys in the story. If there's a lengthy conversation or other actions, such as a chase or gunfight, then these segments can't be skipped. But a simple long drive with a few lines of conversation can typically be skipped.
To skip the ride, wait until the prompt to skip appears on the right side of the screen. Hold the button, and you'll be teleported to the quest location.
How To Fast Travel In Mafia The Old Country
It's possible to fast travel in Mafia: The Old Country in Explore mode. Naturally, more fast travel locations will unlock as you progress in the story, meaning completion of the main campaign is encouraged before diving into free exploration. Since this feature isn't available in the story, you can rely on the skip drive and ride as a way for fast traveling.
The teleport points are marked with two down arrows, and some special spots, like Pasquale's store and the vineyard, have their own icons. Along with these, players can also see collectibles on the map, such as Saint Cards, Newspapers, and Photography Spots. Simply zoom in to see these appearing in areas that you've visited before. However, note that not all collectibles appear on the map, such as Charms and Mystery Foxes.
Despite having the Explore mode available to complete the collectibles, some items are story-specific, meaning you may need to replay certain chapters to obtain the items you missed.
