YouTube content creator Ludwig has announced his own Super Smash Bros. Tournament after the cancelation of an official Smash World Tour event. The finals of Smash World Tour were canceled due to a request from Nintendo, which required the tournament organizer to be licensed. After the licensing agreement fell through, the unofficial Super Smash Bros. Tournament had to call off the final stop of 2022 just 10 days shy of the tournament.Super Smash Bros. Is Nintendo's arcade fighting franchise created by Masahiro Sakurai. The series includes several games released since the initial Nintendo 64 game Super Smash Bros. Up until Super Smash Bros. Ultimate released in 2018 for the Switch. Some of the games in the series are also played competitively. The Smash World Tour events include Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate competitions. Much of the community was disappointed, even angered, after hearing that Smash World Tour was being shut down. This included fans of the Super Smash Bros. Franchise, professional Smash players, and the YouTuber and Smash aficionado Ludwig. Ludwig is a popular YouTuber that has collaborated with the likes of MrBeast and has nearly four million subscribers. The YouTube creator was so disheartened by the news that he decided to announce his own tournament. In a tweet, he says that he's happy to announce The Scuffed World Tour "in light of Panda/Nintendos lackluster response."
