Don't Nod has announced that Tape 2 of its upcoming narrative adventure game Lost Records: Bloom and Rage has been delayed by almost one month. Known for creating the acclaimed Life is Strange franchise that's now handled by Deck Nine Games, Don't Nod has been releasing titles in a wide array of different genres and styles over the past few years. Lost Records: Bloom and Rage seems like more of a return to form for the studio as a Life is Strange-like narrative adventure.
Filled with a ton of 90s nostalgia, Lost Records: Bloom and Rage follows the story of four high school girls on an adventure that looks to center around music, hence the game's title. Like Life is Strange, Lost Records seems to be heavily driven by its narrative as players meet new characters and explore the Michigan-inspired town of Velvet Cove. The game somewhat follows Don't Nod's release style of the first few episodic Life is Strange games, as it'll be rolled out in two parts called "Tapes." Tape 1 is due out on February 18, with Tape 2 originally set to follow one month later, on March 18.
Lost Records: Bloom and Rage Devs Talk the Importance of Diversity In-Game and Out
Lost Records: Bloom and Rage, Don't Nod's upcoming narrative adventure, aims to feature real people out of a second nature drive for diversity.
Now, it seems the gap between Lost Records' two Tapes has widened. In a new FAQ post about the game, Don't Nod updated the game's release date information, announcing it's pushed the release of Lost Records: Bloom and Rage's Tape 2 back nearly a whole month to April 15. Thankfully, Tape 1 is still on track for February 18, and Don't Nod expressed it needed more time to clean up bugs and "enhance the storytelling" of Tape 2.
Lost Records: Bloom and Rage Tape 2 Delayed To April 15
In the same post, Don't Nod promised fans that, to make up for Tape 2's delay, it has something in store on social media to hold players over. What exactly Don't Nod means by this is a mystery. Perhaps it could relate to a reveal of in-game cosmetics or even a giveaway, but Don't Nod worded it in such a way that makes it seem like it's simply a small extra for fans. Spring 2025 is a busy time for game releases, so Lost Records fans having more time between Tapes could be a good thing.
Tape 1 of Don't Nod's Lost Records: Bloom and Rage is set to come to Xbox, PlayStation, and PC on February 18. With two months to wait until Tape 2, fans should keep an eye on Don't Nod's social media in the weeks following Tape 1 for word on what this mysterious surprise might be.
