Lost Records: Bloom & Rage launched worldwide on February 18, 2025. While only the first part of the game is available right now, the second and final tape is set to release on April 15.

You can jump into Tape 1 now and wait for Tape 2 when it drops. But before you do, you might be wondering how much of a time investment the game requires. That’s a fair question — not every player has the time for long gaming sessions. Fortunately, the guide below has the answer.

Tape 1 of Lost Records: Bloom & Rage proves to be a lopsided experience carried by a charming cast of characters and let down by its overall plot.

How Long Is Lost Records: Bloom & Rage?

As mentioned earlier, only Tape 1 of Lost Records: Bloom & Rage is currently available, so the guide below covers its length specifically.

If you rush through the story, you can finish tape 1 of Lost Records: Bloom & Rage in about 7 hours — a relatively short runtime, but keep in mind that there are two tapes. However, rushing through them isn’t the best way to experience the game. While Lost Records doesn’t have large explorable areas, it does feature plenty of collectibles to capture with your trusty camcorder. A normal playthrough with moderate exploration should take around 9 hours, while a completionist run will require 11 hours or more.

Estimated Playtime:

  • Story Only – 7 Hours
  • Normal Playthrough – 9 Hours
  • Completionist Playthrough – 11+ Hours

Fortunately, if you miss recording some memoirs in a chapter, you can use Scene Select to go back and capture them without replaying the entire game. Just remember to enable Collectible Mode when revisiting a completed scene.
