Lords of the Fallen just got a fresh update, version 2.0.29, as the devs keep working to smooth things out across the board. The June Lords of the Fallen patch brings improvements to stuttering issues, a bunch of bug fixes, and tweaks to PvP matchmaking, among other things.

The game originally dropped in 2023, and since then has received over four dozen updates, with the developers eager to continue adding polish to the popular action game. The May Lords of the Fallen patch wasn’t huge, but it did handle a few key problems. One was a bug where the Empyrean Key wouldn’t show up for the host if a co-op partner picked it up first; there’s now a workaround for anyone stuck with that. Other bugs involving NPCs, like Mohlu not showing the “Offer Remembrances” option in co-op, have also been sorted, which should make the co-op side of things more reliable.

Lords of the Fallen: Best Dark Crusader Build

Here's a Radiance-focused Dark Crusader build in Lords of the Fallen for players who want to play as a melee-centric paladin.

This latest Lords of the Fallen patch focuses heavily on improving multiplayer and PvP. For players running Shared Progression co-op sessions, the team has added some performance upgrades to cut down on stutters and make the experience feel smoother. A pretty frustrating bug, where picking up a duplicate key could block access for the host, has also been addressed. Anyone missing Lords of the Fallen keys such as Fief, Empyrean, Skyrest, or Pilgrim’s Perch should now have them automatically restored.

PvP matchmaking has been adjusted as well, so players are more likely to face others around their own level. This should help make fights fairer and less one-sided in action role-playing game Lords of the Fallen. On top of that, some crash issues have been cleaned up to boost overall stability. A small tutorial prompt was also included to explain the Lamp Guidance system. That feature came in with the V.20 patch, and now players, especially new or returning ones, will get a clearer idea of how it works as they play.

It’s encouraging to see CI Games consistently backing Lords of the Fallen with ongoing updates and meaningful improvements. In a new message to players, the dev thanked the community for the ongoing feedback and confirmed it's sticking with plans to keep improving the experience. As of now, Lords of the Fallen sits at a mixed-to-positive rating on Steam, with about 66% of reviews being favorable. It’s also holding onto a decent player base, peaking at over 1,000 concurrent users in the last 24 hours. That’s not bad for a game that’s been out for a while and is still getting polished.
