Lords of the Fallen, the upcoming Souls-like title from CI Games, will include support for Nvidia's DLSS3 and AMD's FSR3 upscaling technologies on PC. This will allow PC gamers with compatible graphics cards to take advantage of options that can make Lords of the Fallen run at higher framerates without compromising too much graphical fidelity.
As a spiritual successor to the 2014 title of the same name, Lords of the Fallen will be released on Friday, October 13 at midnight local time on console, and at different times throughout the day on Steam. Though it is a successor to the 2014 title, it is not considered a direct sequel outright by CI Games and Hexworks. As the latest game to join the ranks of dark Soulsborne games such as Elden Ring and Lies of P, Lords of the Fallen sees the player take up the role of a Dark Crusader as they fight to take down the resurrected demon God Adyr. With nine starting classes and the realms of the living and the dead to explore, Lords of the Fallen players will be able to invite a second player to join in for some co-op action.
Lords of the Fallen’s Deluxe Edition Gives Players a Unique Early Advantage
Lords of the Fallen features a diverse catalog of starting class builds that is emboldened further if players purchase the deluxe edition.
Though Lords of the Fallen is graphically impressive, it can be taxing on some systems. However, Nvidia confirmed that the game will utilize options including Nvidia's DLSS3 to give players options for improving performance on PC. For PC players that have a compatible graphics card such as the Nvidia RTX 4060, both DLSS and FSR options will be available in the Display settings of Lords of the Fallen. In addition, Nvidia DLSS will be able to take advantage of frame generation and Nvidia's image-sharpening technologies.
In addition, Twitch Partner Lirik confirmed in a recent stream that AMD's FSR will also be an option for gamers to pick from, but the stream was deleted for unknown reasons. Though DLSS is exclusive to compatible Nvidia RTX graphics cards, AMD's FSR3 technology is implemented at the software level and can be used by most modern graphics cards. While DLSS is generally considered the preferable technology by gamers, AMD is busy implementing its own frame generation technology on a per-game basis to complement the upscaling that FSR provides. Though time will tell how many games will implement FSR3 in the future, Lords of the Fallen joins Forspoken and Immortals of Aveum on the list of games that do at the time of writing.

The ZOTAC GeForce RTX 4090 Trinity OC Edition is an excellent, well-priced, and balanced offering that offers a relatively limited overclock over stock units but throws in a tri-fan cooling system that runs cooler than the founder's edition while costing exactly the same in terms of MSRP with RGB lighting thrown into the mix.
