Fast travel is an essential mechanic that players will always use in Lords of the Fallen. Unlike most soulslike games where there’s a checkpoint that can be used to travel from and to, Lords of the Fallen possesses an extra mechanic that certainly makes exploration easier.

In the game, there are Vestiges and Vestige Seedlings, and both act as fast travel spots in Lords of the Fallen. The only difference is that the former can be used repeatedly while the latter requires special conditions.

Ranged weapons play an important part in the overall combat system of Lords of the Fallen. Here's everything to know about using them.

How To Fast Travel In Lords Of The Fallen Using A Vestige

how to use vestige to fast travel in lords of the fallen

To fast travel in Lords of the Fallen, players must first activate a Vestige which will act as a permanent checkpoint for players to use later. These Vestiges are fallen lampbearers, so the checkpoint lamp is activated using the Umbral Lamp. Resting at any Vestige will forcefully bring back players to Axiom, the land of the living.

Once the Vestige is activated, lampbearers will now be able to travel from their current location to another activated Vestige in Lords of the Fallen by choosing the Warp to Vestige option. Do note that not interacting with a Vestige lamp upon discovery won’t make it available as a traveling point.

Other than fast travel, players can use earned Vigor to Upgrade their Character and gain a boost of skills. Additionally, the Multiplayer option will also be available which allows inviting other unknown lampbearers, inviting friends, traveling to another world to help a friend, and the usual invade option.

The most important feature at the Vestige is probably the Rest option since it resets players’ Sanguinarix and replenishes health. However, the world will reset as well, which means every defeated enemy will respawn, except for slain bosses.

As players progress through the world of Lords of the Fallen, they will eventually reach the Redcopse Windmill and activate the Vestige of Marco the Axe. Upon exploring the area further, an Umbral flowerbed will appear where lampbearers can interact with it.

The bed of flowers can be used to plant a Vestige Seed which acts as a temporary checkpoint that possesses the same features as a normal Vestige. This means that the protagonists can rest, request backup, or upgrade some skills. The only disadvantage is that upon encountering another Umbral flowerbed and planting a different Vestige Seed, the former one will disappear and become unavailable.

The first-ever Vestige Seed can be obtained from The Iron Wayfarer when encountered for the second time inside a small shack right before the Pieta boss fight. After that, lampbearers can purchase it from a special vendor, Molhu, once they arrive at Skyrest Bridge.

Lords of the Fallen is now available on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
