  • A Lords of the Fallen sequel is expected to be released sometime in 2026.

A new Lords of the Fallen update is now live, with the v1.7.106 patch adding adjustments to NPC helper summons, highly requested HUD options, and more. This follows a January 2025 patch for Lords of the Fallen, which added improved online connectivity and a Male/Female body option following recent community feedback.

Since its initial release in 2023, Lords of the Fallen has received plenty of large-scale updates to address the many technical flaws present in the game at launch. The open-world dark fantasy game saw impressive sales immediately after appearing on store shelves, with Lords of the Fallen selling one million units in its first 10 days despite some less-than-stellar reviews from the Soulslike fan community. The team at Hexworks has worked hard to bring the game up to snuff, with more frequent updates bringing more fan-requested additions to the title. Now, the game has already implemented its second update of 2025, continuing to refine the frightening successor to the 2014 title of the same name.

Lords Of The Fallen: 6 Overpowered Builds That Are A Lot Of Fun

It's not easy to become overpowered in 2023's Lords of the Fallen, but these optimized builds make traversing Axiom and Umbral a breeze.

The development team at Hexworks has revealed the v1.7.106 patch notes for Lords of the Fallen, with the update now live across PC and console. Notably, the patch addresses several random crashes and adds dynamic HUD options, allowing players to enjoy the world of Mournstead more vividly. Fans can choose a Dynamic option, in which UI elements will appear or disappear depending on context, and can also turn the HUD off completely. The game's NPC helpers, which previously only became available after a player's first death, will now be available starting during the title's first boss encounter. Additionally, Intel Xe Super Sampling (XeSS) has now been integrated into the game, boosting performance while maintaining image quality.

In November 2024, the 1.6 update for Lords of the Fallen added PlayStation 5 Pro support, along with a more helpful tutorial for new players and a number of performance improvements and balance adjustments. On the PS5 Pro, the game's pixel density is increased by an impressive 40 percent when compared to the base console, with Lords of the Fallen's Performance mode allowing for 4K resolution at a consistent 60 FPS.

Publisher CI Games announced that a Lords of the Fallen sequel was in full production in October 2024, with the game's release date currently planned for sometime in 2026. The next game will reportedly feature a different art style with higher production values, along with shared-progression co-op. A full reveal is expected to take place sometime in 2025.
