Swords in Lords of the Fallen are an extension of the players themselves as these weapons demonstrate their skill. The swords in Lords of the Fallen drop into different categories, such as Small and Long Swords all with the same feel but different outward appearances as well as damage. Each sword is unique in its way mainly because of the different kinds of damage they output.

Lords Of The Fallen: Hardest Bosses, Ranked

The are over 30 different bosses to find and overcome in Lords of the Fallen, and some of them are a lot more difficult than their peers are.

Swords are the main tool in dealing damage to enemies but also become a defensive tool. This is because parrying requires the player to time their attacks and clash their swords with the enemy, taking no damage.

Updated on June 5, 2024, by Waseem Muhammad: Lords of the Fallen has seen a lot of changes since its somewhat lackluster launch. The updates to the multitude of bugs and the addition of content have brought a new feel to the game, bringing back players who want to try out the new questlines and bosses added to the game in the free update. With the new game modifiers recently released, players are trying out new weapons and builds for their subsequent playthroughs. This update adds a new Inferno Sword to the list that focuses on inflicting ignite onto the enemies for max burn damage.

The Melted Dark Crusader Sword has a lot of potential when it is upgraded. This increases its overall Physical and Wither damage, which, combined with the speed of a Short Sword, can be deadly in many scenarios. The weapon can scale from multiple stats, allowing the damage to increase further at higher character levels.

The players can also equip another Melted Dark Crusader Sword in an NG+ run in their offhand, allowing them to dual-wield the weapon while also casting Umbral Magic at enemies and bosses.

In Upper Calrath, instead of dropping down into the ground and proceeding to Bramis Castle, go straight and Soulflay the corpse to open up a path. Go down the stairs to spot an Umbral Belly near the stairs. Soulflay it to acquire the sword.

300 Ignite Damage

This mid-game weapon can be a great option mainly because of how it scales purely off Inferno. The more the player adds points to Inferno, the more fire damage the weapon will output. As this weapon has a high Ignite damage of 300 it is best to revolve around that and increase the buildup rate. Once fully upgraded, players can socket three Trelos Runes and run the Rhogar's Delight Pendant. This, along with the Wildfire Ring and Ring of Night's Fire, outputs a huge amount of fire damage to the enemies regardless of their resistance.

From the Vestige of Lydia the Numb Witch in Lower Calrath Alehouse, players must turn back and head down the wooden platform, proceeding on the main path to the boss. Upon arriving in the area with the giant bonfire in the middle, go around it to climb a wooden ramp that leads to a burning building. Switch to Umbral Realm, take the ladder on the left, and then go up the staircase. Do not go all the way to the top, as there is a burning corpse on the right with the Fallen Lord's Sword.

The Rosamund Sword is a weapon that can be acquired early on in the game but requires certain levels in the player's stats. Having scaling in four different attributes makes it a weapon that stands out from the rest. It becomes a primary asset for players aiming for an Umbral character and helps them take down tougher bosses with relative ease. The weapon also builds up Frostbite, which deals extra damage when the meter is full.

Go up the path after defeating the Infernal Enchantress boss in Lower Calrath. Keep going ahead and down the stairs until an Umbral platform appears. Do not enter Umbral. Instead, head to the area on the right up the stairs and reach the building with the burning entrance. Change into Umbral now and interact with the corpses to open the path of the Umbral Entity. An Umbral Belly should be inside, which drops the Rosamund sword when Soulflayed.

The Lightreaper Sword is one of the most sought-after weapons. This is because the Lightreaper himself makes multiple appearances, defeating the player and forcing them to face him again in another arena. A player can go for a single Lightreaper Sword, but the game introduces a sword for both hands, allowing the player to dual-wield it for more damage. The weapons have an A scaling in Agility and Inferno at max upgrade, allowing the player to one-shot most enemies in one attack.

Pieta's Sword in the game is one of the most popular weapons. This is entirely because of its appearance, as it resembles a Jedi Lightsaber. It is one of the earliest weapons in the game that players can acquire from Molhu, so it tends to be the first choice for everyone.

The weapon only deals high Holy Damage, so it is perfect for those players who are focusing on a Radiance build, balancing their Spells and weapons. Consecutive hits can also lead to Smite damage, which rains down from the sky and deals damage in a small radius.

Judge Cleric's Corrupted Sword is the jack of all trades in the game. The Long Sword deals the highest amount of damage purely because it has scaling in 4 attributes. Upgrading the weapon to max level raises its Radiance and Inferno scaling to A+ and Strength and Agility to B+. Having a lot of Vigor in multiple stats allows the damage to increase and the Attack Power to reach up to 1400.

Acquiring the weapon does take time, so it is much more useful in later playthroughs. These weapons can be imbued with Fire or Holy to further increase their damage and inflict Burning to enemies or deal Smite damage.
