Lords of the Fallen features a plethora of different bosses. Each of them has unique abilities, making it extremely challenging to take them down. One of the earliest bosses that players face is Pieta.
She stands in the way of players and Skyrest Bridge. Pieta is a strong opponent, and without a few upgrades, it will be almost impossible to kill her immediately. Depending on their builds, Lords of the Fallen players will have to adopt different strategies for the fight.
How To Beat Pieta
At the beginning of the fight, Pieta will mainly use her physical attacks to cause problems for players. When her HP goes below a specific percentage, Pieta's attacks will become more diverse and magic-oriented. If players think that it is too difficult to beat Pieta, they can summon an NPC to help them with the boss fight. The NPC has decent HP and will act as a great distraction while players damage Pieta.
These are some things that players should keep in mind while facing this boss:
- Due to her weapon's size, Pieta can reach behind herself. This means if players are attacking from the back, they will still get hit with the weapon.
- At times, she will jump in the air and bring down her sword with great force.
- At around 60% HP, Pieta will open her wings and go to the middle of the arena. Keep to either side to avoid her attacks.
- Pieta can create two magic clones, and both of them will release beams from their weapons. Once again, this attack can be dodged.
- When she raises her sword in the air, Pieta will summon a single clone, which will either slam its sword into the ground or do a spinning attack.
- Another variation of her attack involves Pieta summoning two clones and both of them taking flight. They will also dash from one end to another. Stay out of their range to avoid any unnecessary damage.
- Pieta will also summon a barrage of magic swords that wipe off a huge chunk of their health.
Once players beat Pieta, they will receive a Vestige Seed and eight Umbral Scourings.
However, don't leave the area just yet. Enter Umbral and move toward Pieta's memory. Use soulflaying to obtain the Remembrance of Pieta, She of Blessed Renewal. This can be exchanged for her weapon and armor in Skyrest. After her defeat, Pieta can be found in Skyrest, where she will help players upgrade their Sanguinatrix.
