Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria, developed by Free Range Games, immerses players in a survival-crafting game that takes place during the Fourth Age, following the Dwarves' exile from Khazad-dûm. Much of the game’s procedurally generated world is littered with lost relics and destroyed landscapes of this Dwarven kingdom that now lies in ruins within Moria.
The Damaged Statues serve as a reminder of the once-great civilization that inhabited it. Some of them depict Dwarven heroes and gods, while others simply offer glimpses into the everyday life in Khazad-dûm. This guide comprises everything players need to swiftly restore these shattered statues in LOTR: Return to Moria , breathing life back into Moria and restoring it to its former glory.
How to Restore Statues in Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria
Damaged Statues are randomly generated throughout different areas in Return to Moria, making it challenging to find them. Players can explore the Western Halls and the Elvish Quarters and keep an eye out for these ancient figurines.
Once they come across a Damaged Statue, players can restore it by following these steps:
- Craft an Iron Hammer: This essential tool can be created using 2 Iron Ingots and 4 Wood Scraps. The Crafting Menu can be quickly accessed by pressing the “C” key.
- Collect Stones: Gather the required number of stones by using a pickaxe to break rocks and debris. Most Damaged Statues need 10–20 Stones for restoration.
- Approach the Statue: With the required materials in hand, initiate the restoration process by pressing "E" on the keyboard.
Some statues may require a higher-level hammer to repair. Players can mark a Damaged Statue on the Map to easily find it later once they acquire a suitable hammer or more stones.
Statues are a valuable resource in Return to Moria. Once they are fully repaired, they unlock new crafting recipes for armor or weapons. With numerous statues to encounter on their journey, players can acquire plenty of crafting recipes. The type of recipe that is unlocked will vary depending on the location of the statue.
In addition to unlocking crafting recipes, the Statues in Return to Moria also serve as a way to learn more about the history of Moria. By reading the inscriptions on the statues, players can learn about the Dwarven kings and heroes who once ruled the realm.
Lord of the Rings: Return To Moria is available on PC. The PS5 version launches on December 5. The Xbox Series X and S version is coming in early 2024.
