Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria is a survival-crafting RPG based on the fantasy world of Middle-earth created by J.R.R. Tolkien. The game takes players on an adventure through the procedurally generated mines of Moria, the ancient Dwarven Kingdom.
In order to survive in the dark and dangerous realm of Moria, players must learn to extract essential resources and craft their own tools, weapons, and armor. Iron is one of the most valuable materials in Return to Moria, as it is used in numerous crafting recipes. This guide covers how players can effectively find Iron in Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria.
How To Get Iron in Return to Moria
There are two ways for players to get Iron in the mystical depths of Khazad-dûm:
Iron Deposits
The best way to gather Iron in Return to Moria is to stick close to the cavern walls, as they are lined with Iron Veins. As players venture through the vast underground labyrinth of Khazad-dûm, they can easily spot these Iron Deposits due to their deep red hue. Most of these deposits yield plenty of Iron when mined.
With a Pickaxe in hand, players can approach the iron-rich walls and click on them to start mining. As the Iron Deposit is mined, the inventory fills up with pieces of Iron Ore.
Once players have mined enough Iron Ore, they can smelt it into Iron Ingots using a furnace. These Iron Ingots can be used to repair things or craft various weapons and tools.
Exploring Broken Buildings
Another quick and efficient way to acquire Iron Ore and Iron Ingots in Return to Moria is by exploring different regions of the Map and seeking out broken forges and furnaces. These ruined locations often hold valuable treasures, including crates filled with Iron Ore.
These crates can be found hidden at the back of these broken buildings, away from plain sight. When players spot a crate, they can smash it to collect 10 to 11 pieces of Iron Ore.
Additionally, the Western Halls contain plenty of crates and boxes filled with Iron Ore and even Iron Ingots.
How To Use Iron in Return to Moria
