Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP developer Dragami Games has confirmed that the game will get its own photo mode. According to the team, the update will arrive "soon," adding to the many activities and bonus features found in Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP.
Released in September 2024, Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP takes players back to one of video gaming's most memorable and unique hack-and-slash adventures, one coated in a can of candy-colored paint and featuring surprisingly violent combat. A remaster of the original Lollipop Chainsaw from 2012, RePOP seeks to introduce Juliet Starling to a whole new generation of game fans, complete with higher-resolution graphics and improved gameplay features. While admittedly a novelty within the video game industry, the original Lollipop Chainsaw featured satisfying combat and an engaging story, both of which are retained in RePOP. However, the remake will soon be getting a useful new feature, allowing players to more easily track their experiences.
Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP Developer Pushes Back Against Censorship Claims
Dragami Games president responds to the recent claims about censorship concerning the recent Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP remaster.
According to Dragami Games, Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP will be getting a new photo mode in an upcoming patch. The team doesn't specify when players can expect to see the feature added to the game, but a way to take pictures will debut "soon" in RePOP. The news was shared on Twitter and follows RePOP's most recent update released earlier in December. Considering how visually interesting and unique the world of Lollipop Chainsaw is, a photo mode makes sense to many fans of the title. Nothing more about the new feature was shared, but photo modes have become increasingly more common in video games, letting players capture memories and interact with digital worlds in an exciting and authentic way.
Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP Announces New Photo Mode
Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP's photo mode will join the game's other quality-of-life improvements, which were advertised heavily leading up to its release. Other changes to the base game include faster load times and new combat mechanics, as well as an option to turn down the violence of the original Lollipop Chainsaw if players choose to do so. Customization is also a big deal in Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP, with the game featuring 30 different costumes, four new chainsaws, and new hair colors.
As stated earlier, this news follows the game's most recent update, which added a new outfit for Juliet, Lollipop Chainsaw's main character. This update also addressed a few bugs that have been negatively impacting the game since its release. The franchise returned earlier this year to quite a lot of fanfare, with an impressive new collector's edition of Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP adding a number of goodies like a statue of Juliet herself. With the confirmation of a new photo mode, it seems like even more exciting content could be in the cards for Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP as the game heads into 2025.
