YouTube star and professional wrestler Logan Paul has initiated a defamation lawsuit against Stephen Findeisen, widely known by his online pseudonym Coffeezilla, in response to a controversial video series produced by the latter. In the series, Coffeezilla, a YouTube creator with over 3.6 million subscribers, criticized Paul's CryptoZoo game, alleging it to be a scam and questioning its legitimacy.

Logan Paul Sues Coffeezilla for Defamation Over CryptoZoo

It is now reported that Logan Paul has filed a defamation lawsuit against Coffeezilla in a San Antonio, Texas District Court. The lawsuit alleges that Coffeezilla, who describes himself as an investigative journalist but lacks formal journalism training or a private investigator’s license, maliciously published false statements accusing Paul of running a scam with the blockchain project CryptoZoo. Paul claims that Coffeezilla deliberately left out information that would have demonstrated his genuine efforts to ensure the success of CryptoZoo, aiming instead to boost his own profile and increase his audience and income. Logan Paul also mentioned that he was deceived by several trusted advisers who turned out to be con men.

The suit also states that, initially, Paul was willing to move on and introduced a "buyback program" to compensate CryptoZoo NFT holders with over $1 million. However, he decided to take legal action after Coffeezilla continued to publish defamatory videos and social media posts in 2023 and 2024, further alleging that CryptoZoo was a scam orchestrated by Paul. The lawsuit seeks $75,000 in compensatory damages for the significant harm to Paul's brand, reputation, and mental health caused by these accusations.

"Paul brings this defamation suit to hold Findeisen accountable for his actions and to hold him liable for the immense harm that he has caused to Paul’s reputation through the intentional and reckless dissemination of defamatory falsehoods."

While it remains to be seen how this dispute will be settled, it is notable that Coffeezilla has yet to issue a statement regarding the lawsuit. Additionally, it is worth mentioning that this is not the first time Logan Paul has taken legal action; back in 2022, he announced intentions to sue Floyd Mayweather for millions of dollars.
