The Runaway Kid is trying to get out of The Maw alive, similar to what Six wanted in Little Nightmares. While navigating unknown areas and solving puzzles, you might encounter a small bottle with an eye on it. This is known as flotsam, and the Kid can open it to get something that looks like a message. There are 15 bottles in total inside the Secrets of the Maw DLCs, and you get an Achievement for each 5 you collect.

The Hideaway Flotsam Locations In Little Nightmares (Is Anybody Out There Trophy)

There are 5 flotsams in the Hideaway chapter, and collecting them all unlocks the Is Anybody Out There Trophy in Little Nightmares: Secrets of The Maw. It will be tricky to collect some of the flotsams in this chapter, as the Kid needs to sneak around the Janitor to get one of them.

Flotsam Location #1

When collecting the first set of three Nomes at the beginning of the chapter, open the top drawer of the dresser to hug a Nome. Throw both Nomes you have onto the table and wait for them to push a box to the ground.

Climb the table and keep going to the left, then climb up the window. Approach the flotsam and open it.

Flotsam Location #2

After activating the coal machine, use the ladder to go up, then climb the next one to reach the top floor.

Before heading up the stairs, go under it and open the flotsam.

Flotsam Location #3

Once the Kid had followed and hugged the two Nomes in the coal pit near the conveyor belts, drag the cart left to the shelves.

Climb the coal cart and go up the shelves to find the flotsam.

Flotsam Location #4

On your way to look for another battery after finding out one of the two doesn't work, the Kid will be in a dark area with the Janitor.

Move slowly while evading the coals on the ground to eventually reach a staircase.

Go behind it and open the flotsam. Be careful when moving out, because if the bottle breaks, the Janitor will be alerted.

Flotsam Location #5

After activating the small elevator using two batteries. Go to the next room and climb the table using the blue filing cabinet.

Climb the tiny drawers to reach a small platform. Approach the edge to the left to open the flotsam. This will unlock the Is Anybody Out There Achievement.
