Lunacy is a premium currency in Limbus Company, and it's used for getting new Identities and EGOs. In other words, this is the game's main gacha currency, and if you want to get all those new character variants, you'll want to stock up on Lunacy as much as you can.

The way you earn Lunacy in Limbus Company is similar to most other gacha games. You'll get a ton of it in the beginning, but once you make enough progress with your account, the overall acquisition rate is going to fall off significantly.

How to Get Lunacy in Limbus Company

Lunacy rewards in Limbus Company Canto 1
Limbus Company Lunacy rewards story

For new players, the best way to get Lunacy is to play through the main story. Each chapter will net you roughly 390 Lunacy each, with another 260 if you complete enough missions with an EX rating. You can EX clear a mission by meeting all the EX objectives for that specific mission. Getting an EX clear on a mission for the first time rewards you with an additional 40 Lunacy, so do your best to get those objectives done.

Clearing Luxcavation stages for the first time will also reward you with Lunacy, though these are one-time rewards only.

The moment you finish all available story quests is when your Lunacy gains will start to dip. From hereon, your best ways to get Lunacy are the following:

  • Complete/EX clear any event stages.
  • Boosted Mirror Dungeons
  • Uptying Identities
  • Battle pass rewards
  • Direct purchases

Completing Boosted Mirror Dungeons will likely be your most consistent source of Lunacy. You can do up to three of these every week, netting you 750 Lunacy in the process. Weekly resets occur every Wednesday. These can be fairly difficult, so bring the best Identities you have.

Events are your next best bet at getting Lunacy. These run for only a limited time, so if you really want to get as much Lunacy as possible, it'd be best to do events whenever you get the chance. Make sure to double check the rest of the event rewards so you don't miss out on anything.

Uptying is the act of upgrading your Sinners' Identities and EGOs. The higher their Uptie tier, the stronger they get, and once you reach Uptie Tier 3, you get 40 Lunacy. This method is finite, unlike Mirror Dungeons, but since it'll take a while before you can get non-default Sinner Identities to Uptie 3, this method can be considered a long-term goal for Lunacy gains. Keep leveling up your characters and do what you can to earn Threads, and you'll eventually Uptie your entire roster.

Finally, the game's battle passes reward you with tons of resources for improving your Sinners, and yes, these also include Lunacy rewards. Battle passes have free tracks, but if you want to get all the rewards, you'll have to pay real money to get them.
