Like a Dragon: Ishin is the latest game in the long-running Yakuza series. It launches on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. It's a remake of the original game launched in 2014 but was never released outside Japan until now. Unlike the mainline series, Like a Dragon is set in the 1860s in Japan instead of the redlight district in modern-day Tokyo.
Despite the historical setting, Like a Dragon: Ishin is a Yakuza title in every way, and fans who have been waiting to get their hands on this Samurai-based adventure will want to know when the game is launched. Thankfully, there isn't a long wait for fans of Like a Dragon.

Digital Versions
Folks that pick up the Deluxe Edition of Like a Dragon: Ishin will gain access to the game five days early, which started on Friday, February 17, 2023. So fans can dive into Ishin's story a little earlier than everyone else.
The deluxe edition includes the following DLC:
- Shinsengumi Captain's Set
- Ryoma Growth Support Kit
- Sword Upgrade Materials Kit
- Gun Upgrade Materials Kit
- Third Division Armament Expansion Kit
- The Dragon of Dojima Skin
The Deluxe edition can still be purchased after the five days of early access have expired. The Deluxe DLC is activated in-game by speaking to a Yakuza series familiar, Bob Utsunomiya. He is located on the ground floor of the Teradaya Inn. The Inn becomes available when Ryoma wakes up in Chapter 2.
The standard version of Like a Dragon: Ishin is available Tuesday, February 21, 2023. It doesn't come with any of the DLC mentioned above. The time of release based on region is as follows:

Physical versions of Like a Dragon: Ishin will go on sale with retailers on Tuesday, February 21, 2023. Even though a physical copy will be a must-have for collectors of the Yakuza series, it doesn't come with the deluxe edition content or an early release.
