Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth features over two dozen jobs for players to choose from for Kasuga Ichiban's allies. To maximize damage output in these jobs, a visit to Julie's Gearworks is crucial. Here, players can craft and upgrade weapons, capitalizing on powerful brands to imbue crafted weapons with new abilities.
As players progress through the game, they will discover a variety of weapons tailored for each job. However, it's important to note that certain weapons can only be crafted. To obtain these potent items, players must gather the right materials before entrusting Julie and her skilled gearwomen with the task.
Best Early-Game Weapons In Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Ranked
Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth has a good selection of weapons for each Job, and these are the best ones to unlock in the early parts of the campaign.
One such essential crafting ingredient are Squid Tentacles, which, despite sounding like a delightful meal component, are exclusively used in crafting weapons. These tentacles are a prerequisite for many 7-star weapon recipes at Julie’s Gearworks. Here’s how players can get their hands on Squid Tentacles in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.
Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth Squid Tentacles Locations
Yoko’s Recycling Center
The easiest way to get Squid Tentacles early on in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is to pay a visit to Yoko, a woman found near the center of Aloha Beach.
Yoko manages a Recycling Center (it’s just her, standing on the beach in her swimsuit) where Kasuga can trade in trash collected from beachcombing or ocean dives to earn points, which can be spent to purchase various items. Yoko offers Kasuga the chance to buy two Squid Tentacles for 1,000 points each. However, once she sells both Tentacles, there won’t be any more available for purchase.
Yokohama Underground Exchange
Once players reach Infinite Wealth’s Chapter 10, the Yokohama Underground dungeon becomes accessible in Japan. Kiryu and the party can navigate this dungeon in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, clearing floors by defeating enemies and collecting Geomijul's Survey Data.
At the entrance, speaking with Utamaru allows Kiryu to purchase Squid Tentacles for 18,000 Geomijul's Survey Data. Unlike Yoko, Utamaru keeps an unlimited supply of Squid Tentacles in stock and becomes the most reliable means of obtaining this necessary crafting item.
Fishing
For players looking for an alternative method or who are just fans of fishing, there's also a low chance to reel in Squid Tentacles through fishing in Infinite Wealth. Kiryu and Kasuga can speak with fishermen in specific areas of Japan and Hawaii to try their luck. It doesn't matter where you fish; there's a slim chance of catching Squid Tentacles and Shark Fin, another rare crafting material in Infinite Wealth, at any fishing spot in the game.
Both Yokohama's Hamakita Park and Honolulu's Anaconda Harbor Park offer fishing opportunities for $1 or 100 yen per cast. To reel in the fish, hit the displayed button when it reaches the circle at the center of the water.
Other Methods
Players will secure Squid Tentacles upon succeeding in a specific late-game battle in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth's final chapter. We've omitted specific details to avoid spoilers, and most players are likely to have accumulated all the Squid Tentacles they need well before reaching this stage. Squid Tentacles are also included in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth's paid DLC "Gearworks Crafting Set (Large)" bundle.
