What Are The Unlock Requirements?

Investing in Julie's Workshop in Infinite Wealth

After reaching Chapter 4, players will get access to Julie’s Gearworks workshop, where weapons can be crafted, upgraded, and imbued with seals. There are two locations in Hawaii for Julie’s Workshop, one in the Anaconda Shopping Center and the other one in East Waikiki. Here, apart from enhancing weapons, Ichiban can also chat with Julie and invest in her workshop to unlock more weapon crafting options and increase his bond with her.

In order to trigger the substory, players need to tick off both requirements, investment and bond, so they can choose to complete both in any order they like. For investment, players are required to upgrade Julie’s workshop to the max, i.e. Facility Rank 4. The breakdown of required investment for each facility rank upgrade is tabulated below.

Getting an investment of the huge sum of $200,000 is probably the most challenging part of this substory. However, players can rake a lot of cash in by playing through Dondoko Island and getting their resort rank to 3 stars or above. As players take care of the investment requirement, they also need to increase their bond with Julie by chatting and bringing the specific gifts that she likes. There will be three items that will be to her liking. These gift items, in the order in which they should be offered and the location where they can be purchased, are listed below.

Please take note, that in order to have access to the final “Chat” option with Julie for offering Hawaiian Cosmetics, Ichiban needs to have at least Level 7 (Caring) in his Kindness personality attribute. If any players fall short of that Kindness stat, they can head over to Ounabara Vocational School in the Cultural District to take certifications catered to raising Kindness specifically, like Marine Life, Gardening Proficiency, Sujimon Mastery and Outer Space examinations.

Investing in the Future Trophy in Infinite Wealth

After satisfying both the above requirements, for investment and bond with Julie, players can fast-travel out and back into Julie’s Gearworks to trigger Substory 51- Experimental Procedures. Watch an unexpectedly hilarious cutscene play out as Julie tries to make a stronger man out of Ichiban in her own playful way.

Upon reaching the end of the cutscene, players will receive two rewards. First, there is a permanent boost to Ichiban’s Agility attribute which determines how early a character’s turn comes during the battle. Secondly, players will now be able to invite Julie as a guest to Dondoko Island which is good as accommodating more guests ultimately generates more revenue in Dokobucks. A reward outside the game is that when players max out the investment at Julie’s Gearworks, they will also obtain the trophy “Investing in the Future”.
