Light No Fire, the new open-world adventure game being crafted by Hello Games, responsible for the wonderful No Man's Sky, has fans all across the world brimming with excitement at the possibility of testing this procedurally generated adventure game. And as far as we know, Hello Games has big-big plans for its latest IP, making it as vast as their Space Exploration Simulator.

If fans want to know what cool new things this game will include, this list will spotlight some of the most exciting features Light No Fire will have. From a vast, endless ocean to explore, to some of the most dangerous challenges explorer gamers have ever faced. Check out this list and see what awaits fans of Hello Games.

The goal of this article is not to present new information, but to provide a summation of the exciting features that have been confirmed for the game.

A World The Size of Earth

A Monumental Task, But Done Correctly, It Will Change Gaming Forever

Light No Fire Cool Features Revealed by Hello Games

A feat of game development that has never been attempted: To recreate a full planet the size of Earth, with biomes, ecosystems, and living and breathing creatures populating it. This monumental task is what will define Light No Fire as one of the most avant-garde games in the history of gaming, and an ambitious and monumental task that Hello Games is surely capable of delivering.

If done correctly, Light No Fire could become the first 'true' open-world game, setting the bar quite high for all games that supposedly deliver true freedom. According to Sean Murray, the game will host a world in the likeness of Planet Earth, with no transitions. That means: No loading screens, no instances, everything at the explorer player's disposal. And for those daring to walk around the globe, the approximate time to go around such a huge planet could take up to 360 days of continuous walking. Of course, with so many mounts to pick from (and apparently ships as well) this won't be an issue.

Great Character Customization

More Than Just Humans

Light No Fire persistent world

For what has been shown so far, Hello Games plans to gift players the chance to become more than just plain human adventurers. The trailers showcase lots of anthropomorphic races; some are similar to the Gek and Vy'keen from No Man's Sky, but others are completely different. There's 'bunny' race, some guys with horns, something that looks like a bear, an otter, and other animal-type species that could be cool to try.

If players are tired of trying the usual Human Fighter, perhaps Light No Fire will be able to offer them a more entertaining experience, where they will be able to play whoever they want, however they want. Plus, since the game's settlements seem to be player-driven, that gives a lot of room for roleplay.

Full Multiplayer Persistent Shared World

A Community Driven Game

Light No Fire building

Hello Games means business when they say that Light No Fire will be a huge multiplayer shared world. This probably means they plan on releasing 'servers' per region, and only one big world to share among all the players playing in different zones. It is too early to talk about the differences between servers, but if the world is procedurally generated, this could have a lot of potential. Imagine playing on the Europe server and having a totally different community, geography, places to explore, and enemies to beat.

And by the looks of it, there will be tons of challenges that require the cooperation of many, many players at the same time (like that gigantic boss showcased in the footage). This could turn Light No Fire into a player-driven, fully autonomous community, making decisions on where and how to build, and even how to organize systems of government. The potential for this is massive, and everyone is eager to see what Hello Games comes up with when the big reveal is finally released.

Craft, Build, and Explore

Lots Of Things To Do, Lots Of Places To Visit

Light No Fire appears to be a combination of survival crafter and adventure game, with players being able to craft their own bases (houses), their own gear, and settle down. This will also allow players to re-settle at will, and if we follow No Man's Sky logic, it could mean that players will be allowed to craft small camps and keep exploring as they play. Whatever awaits on the massive seas that Light No Fire has showcased (and according to Sean Murray, they will be massive indeed) might require boats, which appear to be included in the game according to a brief appearance in the teaser.

For now, we know that the swimming system will be fully implemented, and it looks like underwater exploration is a thing as well. The visuals look stunning, and players are already drawing their own conclusions on what they might be able to discover by diving under the uncharted waters of Light No Fire. Whether players decide to be settlers or explorers, that will be up to them, and this game sure does put the 'C' in call of adventure.

Flying Around in Cool Mounts Like Dragons And Giant Eagles

Dragons, Hummingbirds, Eagles, Cool Stuff

Light No Fire mounts

No Man's Sky has presented a fully integrated Ship Crafting system with the Voyager Expansion, but Light No Fire seems to have something truly special to replace spaceships, and that is: Flying Mounts. From Dragons to Huge Kingfishers, the gameplay reveals that flying mounts will be a big thing for players. There's also a lot of footage of ground mounts as well, which makes sense since flying for prolonged times might not be possible in certain biomes with harsh weather.

With a huge fantasy world based on the classic myths and folklore, filled to the brim with mysteries to uncover, resources to discover, and tons of cool-looking scenarios to explore, players will need the best mounts they can get. But a question remains: Will players be able to tame their own mounts similarly to No Man's Sky? That remains to be seen.
