Less than two weeks following its announcement, the DLC received its second video teaser, which premiered at the IGN Fan Fest 2025. The February 24 Lies of P: Overture trailer is largely focused on showcasing some story glimpses in a way that mostly presents new questions rather than offering any substantial answers. The mysterious "Legendary Stalker" Lea makes another appearance during the video, which further emphasizes her importance to the DLC's plot.

While Lea will offer assistance to Pinocchio over the course of Overture's story, she'll also be pursuing her own agenda. Motivation-wise, this mysterious member of the Lies of P Stalker faction is said to be largely driven by vengeance. The February 24 trailer further highlights Lea's association with roses—a link that was already established during the DLC's reveal. It's currently unclear whether there's more to this imagery than pure symbolism.

Lies of P: Overture Seems as Bleak as the Base Game

As its name implies, Overture will be a prequel to Lies of P, taking place in the days preceding the horrific Puppet Frenzy that resulted in the fall of Krat. Neowiz previously promised that the DLC will provide some important context for the base game's story. In a prepared statement accompanying the new trailer, the South Korean publisher said that Overture will offer fans a chance to "witness the fate of the Legendary Stalker and explore her connection to Geppetto’s Puppet." This doesn't sound like Lea is going to get a happy ending, especially since she's nowhere to be seen during the events of the base game. However, another bleak story would be in line with the overall tone of Lies of P.

Players will witness the fate of the Legendary Stalker and explore her connection to Geppetto’s Puppet.

Lies of P: Overture is targeting a summer 2025 release. The DLC is thus expected to materialize close to the game's second anniversary, which falls on September 18. Lies of P: Overture can already be wishlisted on the Xbox Store and Steam, while its PlayStation Store page has yet to go live. Although Neowiz still hasn't shared any pricing information, more details on this front are bound to follow soon now that the DLC is mere months away from hitting the market.
