Lies of P is one of the biggest releases of the year. The soulslike game from Neowiz follows the story of Pinocchio, a puppet created by Geppetto. Upon waking from his slumber, Pinocchio finds himself inside a train with only a voice to guide him.
Moments after taking control of the puppet, Lies of P players will have to choose their preferred fighting style. Once the process is finished, they can finally set out to explore the streets of Krat. Early in the adventure, the enemies are fairly weak and do not have any special abilities. They mainly rely on physical attacks to do the damage; however, things get more difficult as the story progresses.
The Different Status Ailments
In Lies of P, enemies can put different kinds of ailments on Pinocchio, which can cause problems if not quickly dealt with. There are four different types of status effects that players can suffer from, and they are:
- Electric Shock
- Overheat
- Decay
- Contamination
For instance, if Pinocchio is affected by Overheat and the bar is filled completely, it causes his health to drop continuously.
The game also has three special status ailments. These are:
- Shock
- Break
- Disruption
How To Remove Status Ailments
In order to remove the status ailments, players need to get their hands on an item known as Attribute Purification Ampoule. The item is described in the game as follows:
- A special ampoule that purifies a puppet's attributes status ailments. When used, it removes Overheat, Electric Shock, Decay, and Corruption. Some status ailments are difficult to withstand even with internal parts. The purification ampoule was developed to remove a puppet's status ailments instantly.
This object can be found all over Krat. Some enemies may drop it after being defeated. Players can also approach merchants and buy the Attribute Purification Ampoule directly from them.
Upon being afflicted by one of the status problems, players will have to open the menu and scroll down to the Upper Belt or the Lower Belt, then click on an empty slot. This will bring up a different screen, where players will find all the available items. They need to scroll to the Attribute Purification Ampoule and click on X to equip it to the belt. Once that is done, players can exit the menu and use the D-Pad Up or Down button to select the item, after which they can consume it by pressing the Square button.
In order to get rid of Shock, Break, and Disruption, players will need to consume the Special Purification Ampoule, which can be selected in the same way as the Attribute Purification Ampoule.
It is best to stock up before facing a boss that specializes in status ailments.
Players can also use Attribute Amplification Ampoule to help with the buildup of status ailments. This item only increases the resistance to the different status effects and does not completely remove it.
