The Soulslike retelling of the classic Pinocchio tale was a surprise hit in September 2023, generally well-received by both professional critics and fans when it made its debut. Less than two months after the game's release, game director Choi Ji-won revealed in a Director's Letter video on YouTube that a Lies of P DLC expansion was already in the works, and that it was the top priority for the development team. However, details about the DLC, including its release date, were not given at that time.
All Lies of P Cut Content Explained
Lies of P's enthralling fantasy world was once a bit bigger, as developers Neowiz and Round 8 Studios had to cut some content from the game.
Recently, though, publisher/developer Neowiz released its 2024 first-quarter earnings results report, which reveals a little more information that helps narrow down when the DLC may arrive. Under the report's "New Pipleline" section, six different projects are listed, including the Lies of P DLC. With the exception of the mobile game Pro Soccer: Legends Eleven, which is listed in the report with a release date of May 8 and is already available on the market, all other projects are simply listed with the broad release window of "2nd Half 2024," meaning it will likely be at least a few more months before players find more to do in Lies of P. Still, pending any delays, the DLC should arrive before the end of the 2024 fiscal year.
