LEGO video games are famous for including many playable characters, giving TikTok users plenty of fodder to replace their icons with LEGO characters around the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. In an interview released on StarWars.com to celebrate May 4, Lucasfilm Games managing producer Craig Derrick revealed that LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will include over 500 playable characters — including Yaddle for the first time.
For the uninitiated, Yaddle is a female member of Yoda's species who appears briefly on the Jedi Master Council in The Phantom Menace. Derrick characterizes her as one of the "surprise" additions to the huge cast of background players during the interview showing off key art alongside TT Games' head of production Jonathan Smith.
Smith says that LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will aim to be a "landmark" game reaching "as high as possible" following the conclusion of the nine-film series and in the 15-year anniversary of the first LEGO Star Wars game.
There have been plenty of things unveiled all across the Internet aiming to celebrate Star Wars Day, including a Baby Yoda Chia Pet from The Mandalorian.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will be available on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One later this year.
