One of the sets from the upcoming LEGO Pokemon line will include a Pikachu paired with a Pikachu-shaped house, according to some newly leaked information. Moreover, the kit is said to incorporate one of LEGO's latest innovations, which is supposed to infuse it with a smart feature or two.

Nearly nine months after The Pokemon Company and LEGO Group announced their multi-year collaboration to launch the first Pokemon-themed LEGO sets in 2026, they have yet to release further details. However, leaks about the upcoming sets have surfaced with increasing frequency since early summer 2025.

Multiple awe-inspiring LEGO sets are set to be retired soon, with a few of them even receiving their last-ever discounts for Black Friday 2025.

LEGO Pokemon 2026 Line Reportedly Includes Pikachu with Pikachu-Shaped House Set

In the latest example of this trend, well-known leaker lego_minecraft_goat shared additional alleged details about one of the 2026 LEGO Pokemon sets, reportedly named Smart Play: Pikachu’s House. The set is said to feature a Pikachu-shaped house that includes a Pikachu figure. The source did not provide the set number for the said product, but they did include a price tag: $69.99. They also claimed this somewhat unusual Pokemon LEGO set is scheduled to launch in summer 2026.

Pikachu's House Rumored to Feature LEGO's Smart Brick

The "Pikachuception" concept is reportedly not the only distinctive feature of the upcoming LEGO Pokemon set. The product is also said to include a Smart Brick, one of LEGO’s latest technologies, first confirmed in development in June 2024 but not yet featured in any globally available products. The system includes an electronic hub capable of recognizing compatible smart bricks, triggering lights and sound effects as the build progresses or during play. The smart bricks are reportedly rechargeable and equipped with both lights and sensors.

Existing LEGO City Sets With Smart Bricks

  • Jungle Explorer Base Camp (60691)
  • The Lost Crocodile Temple (60692)
  • Survivor Island Seaplane (60693)

The first trio of Smart Brick-compatible LEGO sets were UK exclusives and are no longer available for purchase.

Although not yet fully commercialized, the Smart Bricks platform has undergone limited testing, having appeared in three UK-exclusive LEGO City sets released throughout 2025: Jungle Explorer Base Camp, Survivor Island Seaplane, and The Lost Crocodile Temple. All three sets are marked as retired as of December 2025. If this latest leak from lego_minecraft_goat is accurate, LEGO’s next Smart Brick test—or its first global launch—will center on Pokemon. Notably, the rumored inclusion of a Smart Brick in the Pikachu figure suggests the character will not be a standard minifig but a larger build.

Upcoming LEGO Pikachu Set May Be Based on Pokemon Mystery Dungeon

The prospect of a LEGO set with a Pikachu-shaped house raises the possibility of the upcoming kit being based on Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team, as the 2006 NDS-exclusive games included one such location. The Pikachu-shaped Team Base was also recreated for the 2020 remake, the critically acclaimed Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX.

All previously released UK-exclusive sets featuring LEGO Smart Bricks were rated for ages seven and up. If the upcoming Pikachu kit follows the same pattern—and given the new leak's claim of a summer 2026 launch—this information can be cross-referenced with earlier Pokemon LEGO set leaks to narrow down several possible set numbers of the upcoming product: 72156, 72158, and 72160. According to previous rumors, all three are expected to launch on August 1, 2026.

The term "Smart Play" mentioned in the new leak may be LEGO's replacement for the "Smart Brick" branding. The first official Pokemon-themed LEGO sets are expected to hit the market in early March 2026. LEGO Insiders may be able to order some of them a bit earlier, beginning in late February.
