A new report from a reliable leaker states that LEGO's rumored Minas Tirith set will be the largest Lord of the Rings kit ever made by the Danish toymaker. The claim helps narrow down the purported set's massive piece count, as well as several other details, including the likely price range and age rating that LEGO fans can expect next year.
Minas Tirith is one of several Lord of the Rings LEGO sets rumored for a 2026 release. First whispers about the kit surfaced online in mid-September 2025 via The Brick Tap community. A month later, TBT's Discord server yielded yet another alleged tidbit about the set, claiming it would include minifigures of Gandalf the White, King Aragorn, Faramir, Pippin, Denethor, and three or four Gondor soldiers.
Newly Revealed LEGO Set Could Be a Big Hit for Valentine's Day 2026
LEGO unveils an adorable new set that seems like a potentially perfect Valentine's Day gift, marking the company's first such product in a while.
LEGO's 2026 Minas Tirith Set Rumored to Be Even Larger Than Rivendell
The Minas Tirith set has now been mentioned by reliable LEGO leaker T and N Bricks, who described it as the Danish toymaker's largest Lord of the Rings kit ever in a now-deleted Instagram Story from mid-December 2025. The claim places Minas Tirith above the gigantic Rivendell (10316) set from LEGO's Lord of the Rings line, originally released in March 2023. At 6,167 pieces, this is currently the ninth-largest LEGO set ever, and by far the biggest LOTR kit launched to date. Should Minas Tirith surpass it, its piece count would fall between 6,168 and 11,694 pieces—the latter just one short of LEGO’s largest set to date, the Art World Map (31203).
LEGO's Minas Tirith Set Likely to Retail for no Less Than $500
Reading between the lines, several other details about the rumored Minas Tirith kit can be inferred from the newly shared rumor. One is its expected price tag, which is likely to be no lower than $499.99, i.e., the MSRP of the Rivendell set. If Minas Tirith ultimately proves to be significantly larger, it could debut at an even higher price point. For reference, the recently launched Death Star (75419) set contains 9,023 pieces and carries a $999.99 price tag. If Minas Tirith's rumored size estimate is even broadly accurate, the kit will almost certainly carry an 18+ age rating, as is the case with virtually every LEGO set featuring thousands of pieces.
LEGO's Lord of the Rings Push Now Expected to Continue for 4th Consecutive Year
As Gondor's capital that spans seven levels and the Tower of Ecthelion, Minas Tirith occupies a prominent place in Lord of the Rings lore, with its sheer size making it a fitting candidate to break the LEGO LOTR theme's size record. Its tiered design should also lend itself well to centerpiece-scale LEGO treatment, with layered walls, gates, and a massive citadel that could all benefit from a high part count. The set's rumored 2026 launch window would mark the fourth consecutive year of new LEGO Lord of the Rings releases.

Minas Tirith isn't the only Lord of the Rings LEGO set currently rumored for a 2026 launch. Previous leaks have identified one other kit, carrying set number 11373, which may be a Sauron Bust. This product is understood to be significantly smaller than Minas Tirith, numbering 538 pieces, and is expected to retail for either $69.99 or $74.99. Latest rumors suggest it is targeting a March 1, 2026 release.
