The stated piece count would make Minas Tirith the sixth-largest LEGO set ever made.

First rumors about the Minas Tirith set originated from the Brick Tap community in September 2025. Three months later, leaker T and N Bricks hinted at the kit being absolutely massive, saying it would break the record for LEGO's largest Lord of the Rings set ever made, albeit without providing a specific piece count.

Another Brick Tap report has now yielded new details about the rumored Minas Tirith set, corroborating T and N Bricks' leak with a concrete piece count: 8,278. That's 2,111 pieces—or 34.2%—more than LEGO's massive 10316 Rivendell set, which has held the title of the company’s largest Lord of the Rings kit since its March 2023 release. Brick Tap reports that LOTR: Minas Tirith will be identified by set number 11377 and retail for between $600 and $650 once it hits the market on June 1, 2026. The same source suggests that the upcoming set may be a so-called "facade build," or half-build, with only the front featuring a full-fledged "microscale depiction" of Gondor's seven-tiered capital. In this scenario, the rear would likely be left open to allow access to the build’s interior.

While the reported price range of $600–$650 places the rumored kit firmly in the eye-watering price territory, it remains well below the $849.99 that LEGO typically charges for 75192 Millennium Falcon—the set that is supposed to lose its position as the company’s sixth-largest once 11377 Minas Tirith is released. Regarding other previously unreported details, the new leak lists two more: the upcoming kit will allegedly be part of the LEGO Icons theme and include a minifigure of Shadowfax, Gandalf’s horse.

Top 10 Largest LEGO Sets Ever as of December 2025

Nine additional minifigures were listed as part of the set, though all had already been mentioned in a separate Brick Tap leak from October 2025. Looking at the current list of the largest LEGO sets ever made, 75192 Millennium Falcon includes 11 minifigures, while 75419 Death Star features a whopping 38. With 11377 Minas Tirith expected to fall between the two in piece count, its final minifigure total may likewise land in the middle.

The 2026 LEGO product lineup will reportedly include at least one more kit based on the Lord of the Rings license: 11373 LOTR: Sauron Bust. The set is rumored to contain 538 pieces and carry a price tag in the $70–$75 range. It is expected to launch in early March 2026.
