LEGO Horizon Adventures has officially gone Gold, meaning that the game is ready to launch on November 14. During June’s Summer Game Fest 2024 livestream, Horizon fans were greeted by a surprising trailer featuring LEGO versions of Aloy and her friends battling with plastic machines. LEGO Horizon Adventures is naturally being released for PlayStation 5 and PC, but gamers were surprised to learn that the title is also headed to the Nintendo Switch, making it the first Horizon title to be available on Nintendo hardware.

In the months leading up to LEGO Horizon Adventures’ November launch, developers Guerrilla Games and Studio Gobo have been busy showing fans what they can expect from this playful retelling of the original Horizon Zero Dawn, including alternate costumes for Aloy and company and a fully customizable hub world that players can shape however they see fit. The machine-dismantling combat from the Horizon games is also getting a LEGO-style overhaul, letting players break apart robotic enemies by targeting certain weak spots.

LEGO Horizon Adventures will recast Sylens, the mysterious and self-serving ally voiced by the late Lance Riddick in the past Horizon games.

Other details like LEGO Horizon Adventures’ file size and pre-order bonuses have also been revealed ahead of the game’s release on November 14, and now Guerrilla Games has confirmed that the title is now ready to ship. In a new post on Twitter, the developer announced that LEGO Horizon Adventures has now officially gone Gold, complete with a short video clip of Aloy collecting a golden LEGO piece and turning gold herself. For the uninitiated, a game “going Gold” means that core development is complete, and the game is ready to be manufactured and shipped to retailers.

LEGO Horizon Adventures Is Now Ready to Launch

A LEGO game based on Horizon Zero Dawn may seem unexpected, but the idea actually originated from the real-life LEGO Tallneck set that was released back in 2022. Not too long after this popular Horizon-themed building set hit store shelves, LEGO pitched the idea of a LEGO Horizon video game to Guerrilla Games, which in turn led to the development of the upcoming LEGO Horizon Adventures.

LEGO Horizon Adventures is just one of several planned Horizon projects, as Guerrilla Games is currently working on a live-service Horizon Online multiplayer game. A third mainline entry to the series is also likely given the way that Horizon Forbidden West ended. In the meantime, players can look forward to jumping back into the post-apocalyptic world of Horizon in a brand-new way when LEGO Horizon Adventures finally launches on November 14.
