A creative LEGO Fortnite player has shown off a thrilling rollercoaster ride they pieced together in Epic’s hit building sandbox. LEGO and video games have often clicked well together, and Epic recently took this combination to the next level with LEGO Fortnite. Introduced back in December as part of an assortment of new Fortnite game modes, LEGO Fortnite reskins the usual character models as colorful minifigures and trades Fortnite’s traditional battle royale gameplay with a slower-paced survival format more in line with games like Minecraft.
True to form, LEGO Fortnite has allowed gamers to build anything they could possibly think up using a nearly limitless toy box of virtual plastic blocks. The results have been just as endless, ranging from impressive castles and Mesa villages to fully drivable semi-trucks and LEGO replicas of famous vehicles like Walter White’s RV from Breaking Bad and the dreaded Star Destroyer of Star Wars fame. This has led to LEGO Fortnite being a big success among players, and it can be just as much fun seeing what other people can put together as it is to actually play the game.
A recent example of this comes from Reddit user Extreme-Dimension464, who has built an amazing working rollercoaster in LEGO Fortnite. As shown in a video clip that Extreme-Dimension464 posted to r/LEGOfortnite and TikTok a few days ago, this plastic theme park ride uses rocket boosters to send a makeshift car along a brown railing that stretches along the LEGO Fortnite island. In a later comment, Extreme-Dimension464 explained that they learned the method for building the ride’s spiral loops from another player online and that it was one of the longest and hardest builds they have done in LEGO Fortnite to date.
LEGO Fortnite Player's Rollercoaster
Throughout the comment section of Extreme-Dimension464’s post, other Reddit users are praising them for their skill in crafting this mesmerizing in-game rollercoaster, especially since it was built using a console version of LEGO Fortnite. Some have expressed a desire to log into Extreme-Dimension464’s server and ride the coaster for themselves, to which the builder offered to let them on by sharing their Fortnite usernames.
Of course, Extreme-Dimension464 has joked about how they worry that something might go wrong while driving their custom LEGO Fortnite rollercoaster given how much time and effort it took to piece it together, but the end result is still a marvel to see. LEGO Fortnite is already a smash hit for Epic Games, thanks in no small part to the freedom it grants players who wish to flex their creative muscles and build almost anything out of digital LEGO bricks.
