When update v30.10 dropped, LEGO Fortnite received a sizable update in the form of two modes, Cozy Mode and Expert Mode. While Cozy Mode targets players who want to focus purely on building and crafting without the need to take on enemies, Expert Mode tailors to the more hardcore players.

Earning as much XP as possible in LEGO Fortnite can rapidly boost levels in the Fortnite Battle Pass, so be sure to take note of these helpful tips.

Expert Mode takes regular Survival to a whole other level, cranking up the difficulty settings and introducing a permanent elimination feature. While regular enemies have received a major buff in this mode, Storm-Wild enemies can also be encountered here. These enemy variants are even tougher than their regular counterparts but drop a rather lucrative resource once defeated. Here is how to defeat Storm-Wild enemies in LEGO Fortnite and how to acquire Storm Cores.

How To Defeat Storm-Wild Enemies

Storm-Wild enemies are unique enemy variants that can be identified by their distinctive purple storm effect. They are enabled by default in LEGO Fortnite's Expert Mode, but they can also be enabled for both Sandbox and Survival worlds via the Create World Settings when starting a new world. Storm-Wild enemies are encountered randomly throughout the LEGO Fortnite world, and almost any hostile enemy can appear as a Storm-Wild variant, with exceptions including hostile Bears.

Storm-Wild enemies can be defeated much like their regular counterparts, but players will need to be extra cautious as these enemies move much faster and have increased health and damage. To make short work of these storm-infected foes in LEGO Fortnite, players can use Swords and Crossbows to deal immense damage, along with bringing a Villager along with them to lend a helping hand.

Once defeated, Storm-Wild enemies will drop Storm Core along with the usual items their regular counterparts drop. Each enemy's Storm-Wild variant will drop varying quantities of Storm Core, with lower-tier enemies like Skeletons dropping the least. Storm Core is a crafting item, primarily used to craft a Totem of Return - an item used to escape permanent elimination in Expert Mode.
