The recent Farm Friends update for LEGO Fortnite provides some great additions for players looking to acquire some important resources. With the introduction of animal taming, players can now assign animals to their Village and farm resources such as Milk, Feathers, and Wool. Mushrooms are also an item players can farm with this update, but how exactly can you gather them?

How To Get Mushrooms In LEGO Fortnite

There are two ways to get Mushrooms in LEGO Fortnite: farming and spelunking.

Farming

The first method of obtaining Mushrooms goes hand in hand with the Farm Friends update, as each tameable animal will now produce resources over time. Pigs drop Slurp Mushrooms in particular, and gamers can acquire some straight away by simply petting wild Pigs.

If players want a regular supply of Slurp Mushrooms in LEGO Fortnite, they should make sure to tame a few Pigs with an Animal Treat after petting them, and then have them join the village by assigning them to a Barn. Heading to the Barn and feeding tamed Pigs with Vines and Wheat will allow them to produce more Slurp Mushrooms over time.

The Barn can be crafted with just 10 Planks, whereas Animal Treats can be crafted via a Grill using 5 Vines and 3 Corn.

Want to keep animals safe from hostile mobs? Try surrounding the Barn with fences for extra protection.

Spelunking

Slurp Mushrooms can also be gathered by breaking the Mushrooms found in Caves, generally near the entrance. This means that gamers do not need to venture too far to gather this precious resource. However, Caves are generally more hostile environments, home to enemies such as Skeletons and Scorpions.

How To Use Mushrooms In LEGO Fortnite

Unlike other food items in LEGO Fortnite, Slurp Mushrooms cannot be consumed directly. Instead, Slurp Mushrooms act as more of a resource and can be used to craft Slurp Juice, an item that will heal gamers over time once consumed. To make Slurp Juice with mushrooms, players will have to first craft a Juicer.
