If you have built a car in LEGO Fortnite, then you can essentially turn it into a tank that can make short work of even the toughest of foes. Here is everything you need to know regarding how to make a cannon and the materials you need to make cannonballs to keep your artillery well-stocked with ammunition.

How to Unlock the Cannon in LEGO Fortnite

The LEGO Fortnite cannon recipe needs planks and copper bars.

Players will unlock the recipe the cannon and the cannonball in LEGO Fortnite by adding Blast Powder to their inventory. Then, they'll only need to find the required building materials to craft these useful LEGO Fortnite items. Here are all the cannon-related recipes you need to know:

How to Use the Cannon in LEGO Fortnite

While you could build a LEGO Fortnite cannon as a stationary defensive structure, if you have a friend or follower with you, the best place to put one of these contraptions is on top of a vehicle. So, as long as you keep it stocked with cannonballs, you will essentially be driving a tank that can destroy Brutes and Golems with ease.

To arm your cannons with ammunition and use it in combat, you need to:

Walk up to the device with some cannonballs in your inventory.
Press the corresponding key on-screen (F on Keyboard, Y or Triangle on controllers) to open the item menu for the cannon and deposit the cannonballs in the available slot.
You may then board the seat (E on Keyboard, X or Square on controllers) to control this artillery weapon's positioning and when to launch projectiles.
While sat in the cannon, use the left mouse button if on PC or either RT or R2 triggers on controller to fire the cannon.
You can change the angle of fire by pressing W or S on keyboard or pushing the left stick up or down if you're using a controller.

Multiple cannons will need their own caches filled with plenty of cannonballs, so make sure you have enough for your village's defenses. On top of this, it might take players some practice to perfect their aim using the cannon so it's much easier to use them against enemies with a larger hitbox.

Since cannons are technically structures, you also can't use enchantments on them.
