In Lego Fortnite Brick Life, you can live out the dream of playing GTA 6 early (just kidding). Although Brick Life does sport an open-ish world, quests, drivable cars, house-building, designing, and more stuff like that, it doesn't really come close to how massive Rockstar's iconic next entry will be.
Early on in Lego Fortnite Brick Life, right at the start, you'll be tasked with a tutorial for buying and placing a home somewhere in the city. Since the game doesn't do a great job explaining how it works, here's a guide on how to place a home in Brick Life.
How to Buy a House in Lego Fortnite Brick Life
Before you can actually place a home in Lego Fortnite Brick Life, you will need to buy one. You can obtain a Simple Shack for free if you head into the Home application on your in-game smartphone.
Players will also start off with the Classy Craftsman house, which is a much better living space than the Simple Shack. You'll be able to purchase better homes as you make more cash, but for now, you might be stuck with the same house as everyone else.
How to Place a Home in Lego Fortnite Brick Life
If you pop the map open, check out the southern area --if you look closely, you'll see tiny house icons. These are free lots that you can claim if you approach the sign in front of the space. You can also find other homes in other parts of the city --the south is just where most of them are located.
You just need to choose the home you want to place on the lot, and that's it! The home will now be yours; you can start decorating it to your heart's content. You can also buy more home decor items on your phone through the Home application.
For now, it seems that players can only own one home at a time in Lego Fortnite Brick Life. If you try to claim another plot of land on the map, your home will show up, but your previous spot will be cleared for other players. It's also worth noting that you can prevent people from entering your home by choosing the option on the sign in your yard.
