LEGO fans have another new set to look forward to coming March 1, as the new LEGO Art set Monet Lily Pads has been leaked. The set will reportedly cost a hefty $250 for collectors looking to score a gorgeous piece of LEGO art. The LEGO Art series has previously featured works from several renowned artists, and now French Impressionist Claude Monet will join the line-up of artists LEGO has spotlighted with these sets.
The LEGO Art series debuted back in 2020 as a way for collectors to build iconic 2D pieces based on real works of art from throughout history. The product line initially featured 48x48 piece canvases that utilized LEGO Dots to recreate these flat images, with 31197 Andy Warhol’s Marilyn Monroe, 31198 The Beatles, 31199 Marvel Studios Iron Man, and 31200 Star Wars: The Sith among the first to launch. Since then, LEGO Art has expanded to include a range of sizes and artists, including the addition of iconic sculptures in addition to 2D art.

LEGO Art Monet Lily Pads Leaks for a March 1 Release, $250 Price Tag
- 31220 LEGO Art Monet Lily Pads
- Release Date: March 1
- Pieces: 3179
- Price: $250
In a post on the LEGO Leaks subreddit, user itsjustajoe shared images of the upcoming LEGO Art Monet Lily Pads set. The set contains a solid piece count over 3,000 and a proportionally hefty price tag at $250, making it clear that this LEGO Art set is geared toward older collectors and art enthusiasts. At $250, it is also the most expensive LEGO Art set currently available for purchase.
This new set is based on Claude Monet's 1899 Impressionist masterpiece, The Water Lily Pond. It depicts the Japanese flower garden at Monet's home in Giverny, France, which he would paint over 250 times during the last 30 years of his life. A hallmark of this painting is the bridge that can be seen extending over the top of the lilies in the pond, which LEGO has recreated as a focal point of this set.
Monet isn't the first famous artist to be represented in the LEGO Art series, either. His work will join the likes of Andy Warhol, Vincent van Gogh, Hokusai, Robert Indiana, and most recently, Keith Haring, whose LEGO Dancing Figures set released back in May 2025. As many commentors on user itsjustajoe's post note, the choice of pieces for the LEGO Art Monet Lily Pads set mirror the brush strokes of the real painting, creating a mix of textures that give it a uniquely Impressionist feel.
March 1 is shaping up to be a massive day for the LEGO community, with dozens of new sets releasing on that day. Other sets releasing on March 1 include:

Additionally, LEGO plans to launch its Smart Brick technology in March as well, allowing fans to interact with LEGO sets in a more immersive way. Through LEGO Smart Bricks, fans can experience different sounds and lights depending on how they build and engage with their creations. It's shaping up to be an exciting year for LEGO collectors, and even the more mature collectors looking for a piece of LEGO decor can get in on the fun with the LEGO Art Monet Lily Pad set.
