A new Animal Crossing-themed LEGO set is planned for summer 2026, according to a new report from a credible leaker that also lists several other details about the purported product. This is at least the second Animal Crossing set that LEGO is alleged to be planning for 2026, with some circumstantial evidence suggesting at least one more may be on the horizon.

First announced in September 2023, LEGO's Animal Crossing theme officially launched in March 2024 with five sets, with prices ranging from $14.99 for Julian's Birthday Party to $74.99 for Nook's Cranny & Rosie's House. Two promotional sets with low piece counts were also released at the time, followed by two more in August: Fly with Dodo Airlines and K.K.'s Concert at the Plaza. The lineup proved popular enough to warrant a follow-up in 2025, again released in two waves—one in January and another in August.

One Of LEGO's Most Expensive Animal Crossing Sets Yet Reportedly Coming in Summer 2026

LEGO is not done with Nintendo's hit franchise just yet, according to a new report by lego_minecraft_goat. In an Instagram Story posted on January 22, the credible leaker identified a previously unknown Animal Crossing set, number 77059, reportedly targeting a summer 2026 release. The kit is expected to retail for $59.99 in the U.S. And €59.99 in Europe, as per the same source. This would make it the fifth-most expensive Animal Crossing set to date. The leaker also addressed recent speculation about an Animal Crossing set incorporating LEGO's newly launched Smart Play platform, noting that if such a product is in development, set 77059 is "unlikely" to be it.

77059 may not be the only Animal Crossing-themed LEGO set to launch this year. According to one recent rumor, LEGO is also soon planning to release an Animal Crossing Polybag, one of its tiny kits that are sold in bags rather than boxes. Identified by set number 30731, the purported product is said to have 33 pieces and a March 2026 release window. The Animal Crossing theme has already received two Polybags: Julian's Beach Painting and Maple's Pumpkin Garden, released in 2024 and 2025, respectively. Both were offered as part of LEGO's Gift with Purchase promotions rather than sold outright.

Excluding promotional kits, 6.5 LEGO Animal Crossing sets were released annually on average since the theme's 2024 debut. While the pace appears to be slowing, it's possible that more than two sets will launch in 2026. One could be the rumored Smart Play set, which would likely carry a higher price tag than the $59.99 77059 kit—possibly explaining why lego_minecraft_goat believes the two are not the same product. If set 77059 is indeed scheduled for a March release, its official announcement should be coming soon, possibly around mid-February 2026.
