In the modern era of the Zelda franchise, cooking has become the primary means of keeping Link healthy and providing special effects. In The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, this tradition is continued through the Smoothie mechanic. Though slightly paired down, this system allows Zelda to collect materials from every corner of Hyrule, and turn them into unique Smoothies, each with its own distinct properties.

How to Make Smoothie Drinks in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

In several locations through Echoes of Wisdom's map of Hyrule, Zelda can encounter the Business Scrub. This unique NPC is the owner of a chain of Smoothie stands, where Zelda can use the unique materials she collects during her travels to make special drinks that can heal or provide healing hearts or special effects like energy for Swordfighter Form or elemental resistance.

There are no special requirements for making drinks in Echoes of Wisdom, other than locating your first Smoothie Stand and having at least some materials. Because they are spread throughout the kingdom, Zelda will not have to wait long once she has the freedom to travel around Hyrule.

Making a Smoothie in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom:

When you find a Smoothie Stand in Echoes of Wisdom, making drinks is an incredibly simple process. Smoothies are made from two ingredients. Follow these steps for making a drink:

Pick Ingredient 1: Decide which ingredient you want as the base of your Smoothie. This should be the key ingredient.
Pick Ingredient 2: You have several options for your second ingredient. First, you can simply double your first ingredient, making a basic Smoothie. You can also use a second ingredient to create a mixed Smoothie, with multiple effects. Some ingredients will simply bolster the main ingredient. Using trial and error is the best way to find what works, and what doesn't.
Select Make Smoothie: The Business Scrub will charge you 10 Rupees to mix your ingredients.

While you should definitely experiment with all ingredients, keep in mind that mixing two bolstering ingredients will usually get you an Unfortunate Smoothie. These drinks will still provide a small amount of health, as well as a bit of Energy, but they will take up a valuable

Smoothie Notes:

Zelda can carry 20 Smoothies at a time.
When you first meet the Business Scrub, he will initiate the "Recipes, Please" side quest, which will require a total of 30 unique Smoothie recipes to complete. Check the quest description in the menu to see how many recipes you've completed.
When mixing ingredients, the menu will let you know whether you've made a particular recipe before, and what the resulting Smoothie will be.
Ingredients are found in a variety of places: Treasure Chests, in Pots and Plants, Quest Rewards, and even amiibo Rewards.
