Arena in League of Legends is back, and this time it's here to stay for at least 12 months until June 2026. As usual, players can expect a slightly different meta, with new OP champions coming to the fore. In this 16-player game mode, full of chaos, epic duels, and a bit of RNG, the biggest factor in determining victory, aside from skill, is which champions are picked.

League Of Legends: The Best Scaling Champions For Late Game

Don't mind a rough laning phase? These League of Legends champions can solo carry any game once the late-game team fights hit.

This tier list for Arena combos will give players the best options to consistently place in the top 4 spots as a team, and hopefully snag a few victories. While players won't always be able to get their hands on the best champion duos for Arena due to bans, there are plenty of strong options and individual standouts. There is also the Bravery system, where players blind pick champions in return for a few extra stats, but they may get a champion they dislike.

Updated June 25, 2025, by Joe Grantham: This article has been updated for Patch 25.13 with Arena returning for 12 months. While there are no specific changes to Arena since its last outing, the base game has naturally seen multiple updates, meaning many champions and items are stronger or weaker.

Among the S+ tier picks for Arena duos, players will spot a few standout champions such as Cho'Gath, Sett, Pantheon, and Yasuo. For the most part, fighters and tanky magic damage dealers seem to be at the fore.

There are also a few strong combos where Yuumi or Zilean buff up a hypercarry. Other than these two and Senna, no Supports are present among the best Arena champions, nor are ADCs present.

Fans of ADCs in League will be glad to see Vayne, Kalista, and Aphelios present, although they need protection via an enchanter or a tank.
