One The Last of Us Part 2 player has recently taken online to share a humorous video of Abby venting her frustrations on an innocent-looking item. This wasn't the first lighthearted moment from the game that grabbed attention on social media recently, with another fan recently posting a hilarious The Last of Us 2 clip demonstrating the strength of Ellie's plot armor.
The world of The Last of Us series is a pretty sad place, but that hasn't stopped Naughty Dog from sprinkling some humor throughout its hit games. While many such moments of levity are delivered via scripted dialogue, a few others create lightheartedness by taking full advantage of the games' interactivity.
One example of the latter is a walrus snow globe that players can discover during a mid-game Abby chapter in The Last of Us Part 2. Interacting with it prompts Abby to pick it up, and shaking the controller afterward will see her mimic the player's movements by shaking the snow globe itself. As demonstrated by one gameplay clip shared on Reddit, this jiggling animation can get quite intense, to the point that Abby looks like she's venting her frustrations on the walrus snow globe in quite a hilarious fashion.
While this little Easter egg provides some welcome levity to Abby's memorably tragic story in The Last of Us Part 2, the Reddit reactions to the newly shared video demonstration suggest that many fans missed the interaction during their playthroughs. Anyone who is still adamant to experience this moment themselves should go back to the Return to the Aquarium chapter at the end of the Seattle Day 2 act played from Abby's perspective.
After reaching the bottom of an octopus-shaped stairwell and squeezing through a gap in some debris during that level, players will find themselves in a crumbling room with a giant toy chest. The walrus snow globe is sitting on a bench on the opposite side of that area, situated on the far left from the gap entrance, looking in.
It remains to be seen whether Naughty Dog's upcoming The Last of Us multiplayer game will continue this tradition of contrasting its bleak world with some occasional humor. While not much is known about that title, many fans are hoping that Sony will finally unveil it at the upcoming PlayStation Showcase scheduled for May 24. Should that happen, Naughty Dog's The Last of Us multiplayer game could be coming sooner rather than later.
The Last of Us Part 2 is available now on PS4.
