Where to Find Last Steps of the Living in Last Epoch
The only way to get the Last Steps of the Living in the Last Epoch is to defeat Formosus the Undying in the Blood, Frost, and Death Timeline. This high-level Monolith of Fate is a three-stage challenge that includes the Wengari Battleground, Occupied Heoborea, and The Lair of Formosus quests. After making your way through hordes of enemies and overcoming the Undead Wengari Matriarch and Frost Lich Formosus, you will finally reach the final boss and must fight him in the hope of acquiring the desired item.
It is worth noting that you need to kill as many enemies as possible to accumulate Stability to access each stage of Monolith of Fate. As for the Formosus the Undying boss, to access the third stage and the boss room, you will need 300 Stability in Normal and 800 Stability in Empowered.
The good news is that you can get the Last Steps of the Living regardless of the boss variant. So, if you only want to get new boots, entering the room with 300 Stability will be a great time-saving solution.

You will only need a few tries to get what you want, but getting one item doesn't increase your chances of getting another, so it may take multiple tries if luck isn't on your side.
