Pocket Circuit is a mini-game in Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name to which players will be introduced during Chapter 2. This activity centers around assembling small cars from an assortment of parts and testing them in a variety of races. For those players that may be struggling to achieve victory in some of those races in Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name's Power Circuit mini-game, this guide is here to help.

To note, the primary gameplay component of Pocket Circuit is assembling cars that do not exceed the Part Cost limit designated by each race, as a player's participation once their vehicle hits the track is limited to boosting and occasionally mashing a button. It is important that Like a Dragon fans perform those actions, though, as they can have a real impact on a race's results.

LaD Gaiden: All Pocket Circuit Part Locations

As has been suggested, parts play an extremely important role in Pocket Circuit, and many of them can be purchased from the vendor inside CourStar. That is not the case with all the Pocket Circuit parts, though, as there are more than 20 that come from alternative sources around Like a Dragon Gaiden's Sotenbori and Castle. Here are details about how all those parts are obtained, and the ones that are marked with asterisks (*) are used in the builds that are outlined in the section that is below:

Extra Balanced Frame (*): Buy at the Yokobori Golf Center for 2,560gp.
Power Motor Plus (*): Grab from the boar sign above the restaurant.
Metal Frame: Grab from top of fence in front of Daidoji Hideout.
Metal Frame Plus: Buy at Ebisu Pawn Sotenbori for 980 yen.
Michi-Michio: Buy at Ebisu Pawn Sotenbori for 980 yen.
Slick Tires Plus: Buy from Akame Shop for 500 points.
Extra Speed Frame (*): Buy from Akame Shop for 1,500 points.
Super Balanced Frame (*): Climb to the roof of the Gambling Hall (Yotsudera Kaikan), go to the south end, and grab from the roof of the building across the alley.
Blue Bolt: In LaD Gaiden's Sotenbori Locker D4. The key is on top of the large screen in the Castle's Fighter's Lounge.
Super Slick Tires (*): In Sotenbori Locker E5. The key is behind a privacy screen on the second floor of the Castle's Gambling Hall.
High Torque Motor Mark II (*): In Sotenbori Locker H5. The key is on the roof of Sotenbori's Gambling Hall (Yotsudera Kaikan), under a table surrounded by blue panels.
Killer Bee: In Sotenbori Locker I5. The key is in a trash can near the Warrior's Bar in the Fighters' Lounge, an area in the Castle.
Godspeed Motor Mark II (*): Awarded for beating Rival Momozo in Pocket Circuit.
Alpha Cool Striker: Awarded for beating Rival Keiko in Pocket Circuit.
Essence of Decals: Awarded for beating Rival Hammerhead in Pocket Circuit.
Side Stripe: Awarded for beating Rival Akame in Pocket Circuit.

Cool Striker: Buy from Castle Casino for 40,000 chips.
Super Low Profile Tires: Grab from the light that hangs over the staircase in the Castle Casino.
Dark Purple: Buy at the Castle Gambling Hall for 350 pts.
Devil Killer: Buy at the Castle Gambling Hall for 5,600 pts.
Sunshine: Climb the stairs in the Castle Gambling Hall and grab from a tree.

LaD Gaiden: Pocket Circuit Builds for Each Race

As Kazuma Kiryu works through the ranks in the Pocket Circuit mini-game, players may come across a race that they are simply unable to win. This section is intended for those players, and recommended builds for each race can be found below.

To note, these are certainly not the only builds that are capable of achieving victory in Pocket Circuit, and Like a Dragon players should feel free to experiment. It is also worth mentioning that there is an element of randomness to this mini-game, which means that a build may not win its race absolutely every time.
