There are a surprising number of NPC quests in Elden Ring: Shadow of Erdtree. The amount of content packed into this DLC is truly incredible. One of these NPC quests, that of Needle Knight Leda, will net the player two powerful charms, the
Lacerating Crossed-Tree and the
Retaliatory Crossed-Tree.
If players don't do the quest in the correct order, they will be forever locked out of these incredible talismans. However, getting them requires you to make some questionable choices, and make a mandatory boss fight that much harder on yourself.

Full Shadow of the Erdtree Elden Ring DLC Map
The full size Elden Ring DLC map is bigger than a lot of players thought it would be, and it even fits neatly into the Lands Between.
To get the Lacerating Crossed-Tree Talisman, players need to invade Hornsent and defeat him. This can only be done before fighting Messmer since Leda will shift her focus to Sir Ansbach afterward. Once you've finished him off, return to wherever you talked to Leda, and get your reward. Similarly, players can invade Sir Ansbach after defeating Messmer by talking to Leda about it. If successful, they will gain the Retaliatory Crossed-Tree Talisman.
