Soh and Yoshiro are the two main characters in Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess. Yoshiro is the maiden, capable of purging the defilement accumulated near Torii Gates. However, she cannot defend herself from the Seethe. The responsibility for her safety falls on Soh's shoulders.

Soh is a trained fighter whose job it is to ensure that Yoshiro survives the attacks of the Seethe during the night. But even a hardened warrior like Soh is not unbeatable, especially if their power remains the same. So, in this guide, players will learn how to upgrade Soh's abilities in Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess.

How To Unlock Upgrades For Soh

Featured Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess– How To Upgrade Villagers

Upon starting the game, players will not find any option to upgrade Soh. In order to unlock it, players will have to follow these steps:

  • Purge defilements from various Torii Gates until they reach Moegi Ridge.
  • Beat Batsu.

While it may sound easy, the process is rather time-consuming and can tire out a person.

Players will have to start purging Torii Gates, which can be done by guiding Yoshiro to the source. Due to the nature of the stages, players will have to protect Yoshiro at least once from enemies. On his own, Soh wouldn't stand a chance, but the villagers offer much-needed backup. Once the Torii Gates are free of the defilement, it is time to head for Moegi Ridge to beat Batsu. After its defeat, players will be able to upgrade Soh by talking to Yoshiro inside any base.

Are Upgrades Needed For Soh?

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess How To Upgrade Soh

Upgrading Soh is an absolute must. With new abilities and skills, Soh stands a much better chance of dealing with enemies. The enhancements affect Soh's fighting style, and they will allow the protagonist to equip more Tsuba Guards and Mazo Talismans. Unfortunately, Soh's upgrades cost Musubi, the same currency used to upgrade villagers. So, players must try to farm as much Musubi as they can. One of the better ways to do so is by repairing bases.

Initially, bases are in bad condition, so players will have to assign villagers to perform various repairs. The restoration can take one or more stages to finish. So, you will have to keep playing to complete it. After repairing several bases, you will surely earn enough Musubi to unlock the crucial upgrades for Soh.

Like the villagers, it is possible to reset Soh's skills. Players just need to go to any base and undo them.
