Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is an action-strategy game that puts players in the shoes of Soh, an elite warrior who must free Mt. Kafuku. The game might not have a detailed combat system like some of the bigger titles, but it is fun nonetheless.

In Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, players will have to hold off hordes of enemies, which is why it is crucial to make preparations for the fight. After securing victory, players will want to make sure that they save their progress. In this guide, players will learn how to save in Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess.

Many comparisons have been drawn between the old Okami games and the new Kunitsu-Gami, but one's existence doesn't necessarily help the other.

How To Save In Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess

When players start the game, they won't immediately find an option to preserve their progress. First, they will have to run away from the shrine with Yoshiro. After being chased away, players will have to make their way to the foothills and purge the first Torii Gate. Since the Seethe attack at night, players will have to be quick and make sure that they cleanse the entire place. This will help them gain crystals and free the villagers. Once night falls, players must organize the villagers around Yoshiro to prevent her from being killed. If you feel overwhelmed, order some villagers to move closer to Soho and deal with the Seethe.

Sometimes, enemies can get past the villagers, so keep an eye on Yoshiro's health.

There will be a lot of enemies, so make sure to heal Soh and the villagers whenever necessary. Once they are dealt with, it is time to purge the defilement near the Torii Gate. Subsequently, the first base will be unlocked, and, finally, it will be possible to save the game by following these steps:

  • Inside the base, there will be Yoshiro's tent. Find it and head inside.
  • Use the analog sticks to look around until you see the stamp book (it should be to Yoshiro's left).
  • Click on it and select the option to save.

This will successfully save your progress, and you do not have to worry about starting all over, especially after having fought a dangerous boss.

Why You Should Manually Save The Game

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess does have an auto-save feature, but it is safer to manually save your progress. For instance, if you have completed a certain part of the mission and your progress is not saved, then it could be a problem. It is always advised to have a manual save or even multiple save slots, just in case something goes awry.
