The world of Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess can be unforgiving. As the game operates between different cycles, players must remain cautious of their surroundings and time. If it is broad daylight, players can look around for resources, repair the barriers, purge the defilement, and free the villagers.
By nightfall, players must get ready to face ferocious enemies. While they may seem weak at first, they can cause plenty of problems for players if not kept in check. Due to the sheer number of enemies, it is inevitable that at least one of them will chip away at some of Soh's health, and as a result, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess players will have to heal him.
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is Bittersweet News for the Okami Franchise
Many comparisons have been drawn between the old Okami games and the new Kunitsu-Gami, but one's existence doesn't necessarily help the other.
How To Heal In Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess
Healing works a bit differently in Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess. Players will not be able to heal unless they are blocking incoming attacks. The process is simple, and all they have to do is follow these steps:
- Block incoming attacks by pressing the L1 button (PlayStation), LB button (Xbox), and Shift button (PC).
- Keep the button pressed, and then press the Square button (PlayStation), X button (Xbox), or T button (PC).
- This will successfully heal Soh and allow him to continue battling monsters.
It is absolutely important to heal the hero to keep him at full HP. This is useful against bigger enemies like the Gakinyudo, who deal hefty damage with a single attack.
How To Heal Villagers In Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess
After playing the game for an hour, players will realize that villagers are crucial to their overall success. Each villager can be assigned a different role, which can be unlocked by obtaining masks. As more roles are unlocked, the villagers nearly become indispensable as they play a valuable role in ensuring Yoshiro's safety and the destruction of the Seethe.
In order to recruit villagers, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess players need to purge the defilement and assign them new roles. Once the Seethe start attacking, the villagers will indubitably suffer damage. Naturally, players wouldn't want them to die. So, they must heal them before it happens. To do so, players need to open the commands' menu and follow it up by pressing the button set for healing for their respective platform. This will heal the villagers and let them fend off enemies. Players can also heal the villagers by giving one of them the role of the Shaman.
Due to the limited number of rations, it is better to preserve them and use them in dire situations. In case players run out of rations, they need to attack the infected animals and keep hitting unless they are purged, after which they will drop a healing item.
