Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess sees the duo of Soh and Yoshiro try to rid the mountain of the Seethe. The defilement caused by these enemies affected the entire village, which is why Soh and Yoshiro had to visit every single place and purge them.

There is a large variety of enemies in Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, so the same strategy won't work. Aside from upgrading villagers, players also need to upgrade Soh so that they have a better chance of beating the Seethe. Unfortunately, both upgrades require Musubi, so players must select only the best skills for Soh.

Best Skills For Soh In Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess How To Upgrade Soh

It is important to remember that players will not be able to upgrade Soh until they beat Batsu, one of the main bosses in the game. This enemy can be encountered on Moegi Ridge. After defeating Batsu, a prompt will appear on the screen, confirming that Soh's previous skills can be improved and new ones can be unlocked. The next step is to head to a base, enter Yoshiro's tent, and unlock the best skills for Soh.

Description

Archery

  • 10 Musubi
  • Offensive
  • This skill is a must-have, as it provides Soh with a better way to deal with aerial threats. While the reload speed is slow, it is still a better alternative to jumping in the air and trying to land a hit.

Oxalis Shot

  • 15 Musubi
  • Offensive
  • Oxalis Shot can be unlocked only after players unlock Archery. This particular ability takes Soh's archery skills to the next level by making the arrows explode on contact. In order to use this ability, players need to lock on to the target. Next, press and hold the L2 button (Playstation) or the LT button (Xbox) to fire an exploding arrow.

Spider Shot

  • 15 Musubi
  • Offensive
  • The Spider Shot is useful for slowing down the movement speed of enemies. This is especially valuable if Yoshiro is left defenseless, as it will give Soh enough time to head back.

Worship

  • 20 Musubi
  • Offensive
  • During their playthrough, players must have come across a basin. Initially, it is useless, but it becomes a valuable asset when players unlock the Worship skill. All they have to do is head to the basin and press the Circle button (PlayStation) or the B button (Xbox). This bolsters Soh's attacking power and makes them invincible temporarily.

Punishing Strike

  • 20 Musubi
  • Offensive
  • The bigger enemies in the game are stunned once their resist gauge is emptied, leaving them prone to more damage. Players can utilize this to their advantage by unlocking the Punishing Strike, as it deals hefty damage to a stunned enemy.

Counterattack

  • 10 Musubi
  • Offensive
  • As the name suggests, this particular move is used to launch a counteroffensive against the enemy. To do so, players need to guard against an incoming strike and then immediately press the Triangle button (PlayStation) or the Y button (Xbox). This move deals a solid amount of damage to the foe.

Assemble

  • 5 Musubi
  • Strategic
  • It won't take long for players to realize that villagers play a crucial role in the game, but bringing all of them to the same position can be cumbersome. Normally, players have to select each villager individually, but with Assemble, they can make all of them gather at the same place. It might not seem much, but it will definitely save valuable time.

Yoshiro's Guide

  • 5 Musubi
  • Strategic
  • In every regular stage, Soh will have to carve out a path for Yoshiro using crystals. But more often than not, she will not reach the Torii Gate in one attempt. So, Soh will have to defend her from the Seethe. In some stages, there are contraptions that can be helpful if players stop Yoshiro near them. The only way to do so is by approaching Yoshiro and making her stop when she is in close proximity. But with this particular skill, Soh will be able to supervise her from the Command screen.

Tsuba Guard Slot Increase

  • 60 Musubi
  • Supportive
  • Tsuba Guard attacks are powerful and can easily deplete the resist gauge of an enemy. In the beginning, Soh only has one Tsuba Guard slot open, but it is possible to increase it by two. This skill is a must-have, and players should farm Musubi to unlock it completely.

Mazo Talisman Slot Increase

  • 60 Musubi
  • Supportive
  • Mazo Talismans are more common than Tsuba Guards, but that doesn't mean they aren't important. Equipping the Mazo Talismans before a stage can make all the difference. So, it is pretty self-explanatory that it is important to fully unlock all the slots.
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess– Best Skills for Soh

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess players can go for other upgrades if they want, but these are arguably Soh's best skills, so they should be given priority over the rest.

If you feel dissatisfied with a particular skill, you can always reset it.
