Starting May 12, select US-based Krispy Kreme shops will be offering three limited-edition Pac-Man doughnuts packaged in nostalgic custom arcade boxes. Players will have the opportunity to snag a Pac-Man Party Doughnut, Strawberry Power Berry Doughnut, and Team Ghost Doughnut, with a special deal to get an Original Glazed dozen for just 25 cents with the purchase of a Pac-Man dozen on the arcade legend's official 45th birthday on May 22. Krispy Kreme is also aiming to give out 45,000 free Original Glazed doughnuts between May 12 and 18 during Hot Light hours. If players help to hit this "high score," they can "unlock" the return of Krispy Kreme’s popular Strawberry Glazed Doughnut, as a nod to Pac-Man's love of fruit. The Krispy Kreme x Pac-Man doughnut collaboration will run through June 1 and hopes to remind players of their "sweetest" memories with the retro arcade video game character.

Pac-Man Party Doughnut – an Original Glazed Doughnut piped with yellow buttercreme flavored icing, sprinkled with celebration sprinkles and topped with a PAC-MAN piece.
Strawberry Power Berry Doughnut – an unglazed shell doughnut filled with strawberry-flavored Kreme, dipped in red icing and topped with white sprinkles and green leaf icing.
Team Ghost Doughnut – an unglazed shell doughnut filled with chocolate-flavored Kreme, dipped in black icing, decorated with PAC-MAN maze and topped with Team Ghosts piece.

Of the three limited-edition Pac-Man 45th Anniversary Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, one is themed to the titular Pac-Man, one is inspired by the Power Berries, and one is dedicated to the villainous Ghosts from the Pac-Man franchise. The arcade boxes housing the doughnuts will feature the iconic characters and the familiar pellets, which themselves will be featured as the classic Doughnut Dots are transformed into "Pac-Dots" from May 12 through 14. Players will have the chance to snag 10 free Pac-Dots with the purchase of any dozen doughnuts at regular price, giving them the opportunity to enjoy these pellets just like Pac-Man himself.
