KonoSuba Season 3's OVA Release Date

KonoSuba 3 BONUS STAGE, the official title of the OVA, is set to be released in Japan on March 14, 2025. It will first be screened in Japanese theaters for a limited time before the DVD/Blu-ray editions hit stores on April 25.

The OVA will include two new episodes, "Red Stream Explosion" and "Nisemono Chui". The home media editions will include special content such as scripts, a booklet and a short novel written by creator Natsume Akatsuki, called something like Alright, Let's Become Detectives! In Japanese.

Where to Watch the New Episodes

So far, no international streaming services have announced the OVA. However, Crunchyroll streams the OVAs for seasons 1 and 2 — they are tagged as Episode 11 in each season. Thus, it seems likely that Crunchyroll will stream this OVA as Season 3's Episode 12.

Usually, OVAs are added on the same day the DVD/BD ships in Japan — in this case, April 25, 2025. However, there is also a chance it will be added on March 14.

When Will KonoSuba Season 4 Come Out?

Isekai Adventure Manga- KonoSuba

While KonoSuba Season 4 hasn't been announced yet, the official account for the anime series on X (formerly Twitter) teased that they are working on a project involving Sylvia. Well, Sylvia should be featured in Season 4 or a sequel movie, considering the novel.

Recent rumors suggest that there may be more than just a new season coming: they refer to a new anime and a sequel:

The sequel, as mentioned before, should be either Season 4 or a sequel movie. The other project could be a new spin-off movie or a second season for the Megumin series, KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!.

The premiere of the OVA would be the perfect time to make a new announcement, so there is lots of expectation that something will be revealed soon — if not on March 14, then maybe on March 22–23, at AnimeJapan 2025.

KonoSuba is available to stream on Crunchyroll, subbed and dubbed in many languages.

Based on Natsume Akatsuki's novel and light novel series, KonoSuba parodies the isekai genre by following a party of "heroes" who are the definition of dysfunctional.
